Placements are very good here. And after declared as an IIT the scenario of placement is much better. Earth science branches have pretty darn good placements scenario. Branch Like CSE and MNC are offered good packages. In year 2016 Amazon, Adobe, CIL and many more reputed companies visited the campus. And the highest package offered was by adobe that of 38 LPA.
I don't have much idea for stipend But every year pre-final year of students go for internships to very reputed companies like Samsung R&D, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft offer internship to bright students.
Placement of IIT(ISM) Dhanbad is excellent, specially students from petroleum department get highest package around the world. Others department students also get their dream jobs as well. Beside campus placement students also crack prestigious examination like UPSC Civil services, IES, Bank PO and other competitive examination.
Yes, this institute provides internship to the student at various level. B.Tech/M.tech/M.Sc. level student may get the scholarship if his performance deserve for it. Outsider student may also get internship if they approach for it.
The placement and the job opportunities for some branches like computer science and engineering or MNC are great in job offer for mining engineering is also good it's near about hundred percent. Placement just based on the companies, but it is good.
Our College provide internship for many students after having a group discussion and personal interview by various companies and they search for the talent and what they want for them. there is no stipend decided it all depends on the companies but pre placement offer it is decided.
Almost all got placed every year. Don't see the list provided by college as percentage in some branch are low because student prefer to do higher studies. In my college placement in mining engineering (I am talking in terms of placement and package) is awesome as placement is 100%. But in terms of package CSE branch is best.
Yes , my college IIT ISM DHANBAD provide internship (national as well as international. But generally internship are provided in 2nd and 3rd year . However it is not compulsory as in this year my one friend got internship in an IT company.
Placement scenario is good. I would not say very good but going well. Hope that after getting converted to IIT which has been done, conditions would become much better. In our campus big tech giants like Amazon, Microsoft, Samsung visits. There offer usually vary from 18L to 27L per annum.
Yes. In our college companies come for selecting students for internship. Deserving gets the offer. But obviously not all!!! College doesn't provide internship for each and every student. Stipend depends upon branch also.
Placements and Job opportunities at Indian Institute of Technology ( Indian School of Mines ) Dhanbad is very good. 90% students - eligible students - get placed every year. Top recruiters here are Samsung, Amazon, Microsoft Coal India Limited and many more.

We have very good placement opportunities for core students and earth science students. Its 100% for Computer Science and earth science students. And its above 90% for core students. Every year a lot of companies visit our college to give internship and placements.
Yes college provides internship. Stipend totally depends on what field or branch internship is related to. Experiences are very good.
When we talk about the placement and job opportunities, then the university just because of the IIT tag attracts many companies. The major companies that visit for placement round are in field of coding, software development and analytics. The companies are mainly open to all and everyone is eligible to try their luck to get placed. Although being a new department, the department of chemical engineering do face a bit difficulty to attract major companies in its core sector. Also the packages offered by companies visiting specifically for core chemical are not to the mark of IIT level. The job opportunities for chemical engineering are very vast and diverse. One with bachelors in chemical eng...
In perspective of chemical engineering department, the department itself don't provide with any internship, although it do encourage students to apply by themselves. This year two of the department students did their summer internships in Canada and United Kingdom both were fully sponsored by the host institute and also few students got selected for internship programme offered by Indian Academy of Science and did their internship at top IIT's. The institute do attract many companies which offer internship during summer, but it is up to you and your performance to secure your position there.
