University does not have any engineering and medical sciences department. Admission for B. Tech, M. Tech and MBBS courses at privately owned colleges is conducted through JEE Main and NEET. Law Faculty of the University also takes a separate entrance test for LLB and LLM Programs i.e. MUCLET.

Mumbai University releases the application dates for UG programs considering the result date of Higher Secondary Certificate (H.S.C) exam. The admission is done on the basis of merit list, as per a government circular colleges cannot take admission through any entrance test for the courses mentioned below.
The admission process mentioned here include the courses First Year B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, B.M.M, B.S.W, B.A in French Study, BA in German Study, B.M.S, B.M.S-M.B.A, B.Com (Financial Market), B.Com (Accounting & Finance) B.Com (Banking & Insurance), B.Sc IT, B.Sc Computer Science, B.Sc (Hospitality Studies), B.Sc (Microbiology), B.Sc (Bio Chemistry), B.Sc (BioTechnology), B.Sc (Maritime), B.Sc (Nautical Sciences), B.Sc (Forensic Science), B.Sc (Home Science), B.Sc (Aviation), B.Voc and B. Library Sciences.
Admission in Engineering and Medical Courses are done by central entrance exams like JEE Main and NEET.
Mumbai University UG Admission Application Form:
The application form for all the affiliated colleges of the University of Mumbai need to be submitted at the centralized application platform mumadmission.digitaluniversity.ac.in.
For BA, B.Sc, B.Com
Almost for all the UG programs at Mumbai University eligibility remains same i.e. Passed in Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) examination conducted by the different Divisional Boards of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with the relevant subjects.
For Integrated BA, B.Sc, B.Com
45% in Higher Secondary School Certification Exam and the other details remain same as above.
For Bachelor of Mass Media
As per government norm, no college can have any entrance test for admission in this course. Merit list for this courses gives weightage to the candidates based upon their stream in 12th.

Mumbai University Common Law Entrance Test MUCLET 2017 for admissions to Integrated Five Year Management and Law Degree Programme. BBA-LLB (Hons.) Course
Mumbai University have 120 seats of BBA-LLB course running at University National Law School, Fort Campus and School of Law Thane Sub Campus. 85% of seats is filled by the students having domicile of Maharashtra.
Admission in BBA-LLB program is done through Mumbai University Common Law Entrance Test (MUCLET 2017), followed by an interview. Exam Centers for MUCLET are only available across Maharashtra.
The application form for MUCLET will be made available on / downloadable from University Website (http://mu.ac.in). The pdf file for the form will be updated once made available.
Candidates are required to download the form and take a print out on legal size plain paper. Candidates are required to fill in the prescribed format all the necessary details.

Candidates with 45% marks in 10+2 or any exam equivalent are eligible for the exam, for SC and ST candidates the minimum marks required is 40%.
MUCLET Entrance Exam Fees for General Candidates is 2000 INR and for Reserved Category candidates is 1000 INR.
MUCLET is a pen paper based exam conducted in English Language only and consists question English Grammar and Vocabulary, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Legal Reasoning and Aptitude and Basic Mathematics.
Total Number of Question: The exam will be of two hours and will consist 100 question.
Admission in M.Sc programs at Mumbai University is done by a merit list released on the basis of B.Sc Marks. The application for the M.Sc programs can be filled at the centralized application window for Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology and Biochemistry mumadmission.digitaluniversity.ac.in. The Mumbai University has released two different set of criteria for Merit List preparation and college admission will be done in order of preference.
There will be one common merit list for all the students in each subject for the admissions to be made by the Post Graduate Section of the University of Mumbai. The final merit list will be displayed on the website of the university and on the Notice Board of the Post Graduate Studies Section, University of Mumbai, Fort, Mumbai 400 032. Merit List will also be mailed on the colleges provided.
Merit List of other university students other than University of Mumbai will be released along with the Category 1 student for the seats left. Candidates belonging to other universities should submit self-attested Xerox copies of all three years B.Sc. Marksheets.
Candidates can take admission in Phd Courses by submitting online application form for Phd Eligibility Test of Mumbai University (PET), followed by an interview. It is advised for the students to check the eligibility criteria mentioned in the document
Admission for PHd is done in two sessions January-February and July-August Session. Candidates need to submit their application form online with a nominal application fees of 1000 INR for General category students and 500 INR for Reserved category.
Candidates fulfilling one of the following criteria shall be exempted from Ph.D. entrance test (PET).
Structure of PhD Entrance Test:
The Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET) will consist of one paper of 100 marks for the duration of three (3) hours in the relevant subject of various faculties.
Syllabus and Pattern of Question Paper
a) Syllabus: - It shall consist of the various topics included in the compulsory / core papers at Post Graduate Degree level in the respective subject of University of Mumbai.
b) Pattern of Question Paper: - The question paper will consist of three types of questions viz - Objective - forty (40) marks, Short answers - thirty (30) marks and long answers - thirty (30) marks.
c) Standard of Passing: - Candidates securing fifty (50) or more marks in entrance test will be declared as successful and eligible to apply for admission process.
Declaration of Result: - Candidates who score a minimum 50% and above marks in the entrance test (PET), shall be declared as successful by the University of Mumbai and will be eligible to apply for admission to the Ph. D. programme. The list of such candidates will be published on the University website www.mu.ac.in and a copy of the results will be sent to the concerned research centers.
Validity period of result of Ph. D. entrance test- The result of the entrance test (PET) will be valid for three (03) years and candidates must apply within this period for admission to the Ph. D. programme.

After i passed my 12th . This college was the highest which marked my rank and thus i took admission in the same.
MBA-58%, the best University in Mumbai, the curriculum for course is very nice also easy to learn. Like atmosphere of University, also the staff & student having nicely communicated with each other.
The admission process was based on B.Sc marks. Hence, there were no entrance exam. I had scored 73% in my graduation. So, I got admitted to the college based on these marks. I had opted for this course as I was always interested in Maths.
Other it has largest no of courses to study, cheaper than the nearest rival by 40% no compromise in quality.
I took interest in Videography, i struggled a lot, got success and still fighting for my better career because satisfaction has no end.
IIT because it is a very well know name and of course if you came out of that you will surely get an internship or job anywhere in that vertical.
I had given CAT. And i got 80 marks. The atmosphere of this college is good for study. The faculty is also best. Other workshop are also done here.
