I suggest to my junior students in my schools for study engineering in top college is this only. This moment's in my life end and like to study up to Ph.D in this this university.

Anna University, Chennai is largely an affiliating university located in the state of Tamil Nadu. The University comprises of six government engineering colleges, three government-aided private institutions, and 426 self-financing colleges in total, all of them located in the state of Tamil Nadu. The university also houses four highly reputed institutions such as Madras Institute of Technology (MIT), College of Engineering, Guindy, Alagappa College of Technology, and School of Architecture and Planning (SAP).
The university has produced some of the eminent leaders, scientist and artists in its 38 years of existence in India. Late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Father of White Revolution Verghese Kurien, Turing Award Winner Raj Reddy, Film star Nagarjuna and US Democatic Politician Upendra Chivukula are some of the notable alumni from Anna University.
Anna University offers courses in Engineering, Technology and Allied Sciences at all levels i.e. Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral level of education. Admission to all the courses is made around the months of April-May except for Ph.D. Programs, the university releases notification for admission to Ph.D. Program in the month of February, every year. Admission to the all the programs is conducted only once a year, while for Ph.D., admission process of conducted twice a year i.e. in two sessions which are January and August sessions.
Anna University, Chennai is largely an affiliating university, but it offers a number B.Tech. and B.Arch. in the undergraduate category of courses offered and M.Sc., M.Tech. and MBA for candidates with graduate degree. The university also conducts TANCET, which is one of main entrance exams for admission to PG programs viz. M.Tech, MBA, MCA Etc. in the state of Tamil Nadu. For admission to all the UG programs the university, admission is made through TNEA.
The university issues separate application forms for separate courses. All the application form for admission to Anna University are made available on the university website except for B.Arch. Admission to B.Arch are made through valid NATA score, so candidates will need to apply for NATA exam before applying to the university.
Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) is an entrance exam conducted by Anna University for admission to various postgraduate courses i.e. M.Tech., MBA and MCA Programs. Candidates need to apply separately for TANCET, application forms are made available on the official website of Anna University in the month of May, every year. TANCET Application Forms were made available from May 2, 2016 for the 2016 academic session. TANCET for M.Tech. and MBA are conducted on two separate days. Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions(TNEA) is a counselling process conducted by Anna University for admission to Anna University and affiliated colleges. Candidate must have passed 10+2 in science stream to be eligible to apply for TNEA. Candidates can apply through university’s official website.
Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of marks score by the candidates in 10+2 examination. The total marks will be reduced to 200, wherein Mathematics accounting for one half of the total and Physics and Chemistry accounting for the other half, taken together. Anna University covers each year’s curriculum in 2 semesters i.e. Odd Semester and Even Semester. Examination for Odd Semester are conducted in the months of November-December while for even semester, examinations are conducted in the months of May-June.
Students are required to fill an examination form to be eligible to sit in the examination. Examination forms are available on the Examination Portal of the university.
In case a student has already appeared for examination and wishes to get his transcripts revaluated, application form for the same can also be obtained from the same portal.
Anna University, Chennai announces results for both the semester examinations separately, results are announced within a couple of months from respective examination. The result can be checked from the official website of the university. The university announces the result for Undergraduate and postgraduate exams separately.
Also, here’s how you can check the result for examination held in the months of May-June of 2016. The candidates will need their registration number and password in order to login into the examination portal and check their result.
Anna University, Chennai also announces the revaluation result for candidates who wanted to get their transcripts rechecked. The result is announced within a month’s time from the last date for submission of the revaluation application form. The application form for revaluation of result can be downloaded from Anna University’s Examinations Portal.
