For the B.Tech degree, the placement statistics have not been up to par. Out of 400 students hardly 80-100 are able to get placement and that too in the mass recruitment IT companies like TCS, INFOSYS etc. Mostly companies are biased towards Computer Science engineering department. As the curriculum of the university is designed in such a way that students find it difficult to maintain a cgpa of even 7 thus companies prefer other institutes like VIT, Manipal etc where the students are able to easily get a cgpa of atleast 8.5 and secure a job. Average placement is around 3.5 lakhs.
Yes, our college has a career development cell which is not just responsible for carrying placement tasks but also ensures to select skilled students to work as summer interns in the university for various tasks like Admission, marketing, graphics etc and also provides a decent stipend of 200 rupees per day. For what I have heard from students enrolled in these summer internship, they are mostly excited and happy about this opportunity.
The Career Development Center focuses a little more on the aspirants looking for technical opportunities. So if you are one of those who wants to make a 180 degree switch to another field completely, it becomes a little difficult. But that was a year ago. I hope they have come over this phobia of theirs.
There is CDC department at SNU - Career Development Center. It is the placement cell and it looks out for good opportunities where students can intern during their vacations and project semesters.
HCL or any other corporate company makes the agreement with their employees for placement after the successful completion of course. This motivate us to put entire efforts to learn concepts and practicality of those concepts. Since we are aware about the company and its environment hence it is easy for us to contribute values to the company.
College provide internship in alliance with HCL Tech for total duration of 2 months. for the selection of internship period HCL asks for the interest area and assigns departments accordingly.
Placements are fine, from the very first batch SNU hold a decent placement record that is very appreciable. however in last two years this scenerio has been disturbed but the reason is not the campus but the students itself as they have started taking placements casually.
Well I didnt came to this phase till now but campus has a decent reputation for this. as far as I remember many people get their internships easily and on performing well during internship lead them to a good job.
Placements of our previous batches were very promising. With big companies coming like Amazon, Directi, Dell, Zomato, Rockwell Automation, Viasat, Cognizant and various others for each branch. The Dream companies like Amazon, Directi and Zomato offer a CTC of 12-15 L. For an undergraduate student, getting a CTC of this amount, we couldn't ask for more.
I am not sure about the companies that came to recruit people but I have heard that there's been very good offers provided to the students. Most of the organisations are good in providing proper recognition for the students and generous in offering them CTC.
Yes it does. This is a special offer for HCL employees and they will be given Rs. 250000/_ per month during summer interns (two months).
Our first batch had 96 per cent Placement and mostly the rest of the students went abroad for higher education. Our second batch had 91 per cent Placement. Some of the companies that have come are Amazon, Dell, Cognizant etc. We have pre Placement preparations and Mock interviews before the beginning of actual Placement season.
Yes our college does provide us with multiple internships. I personally am not qualified enough to comment regarding this since I have not done any internship. However from time to time we receive mails from our career development cell informing and asking us to apply for the internships that they have arranged for. So we had summer internships and also winter break internships.
Placement development cell is highly talented and bring top companies to campus for placement. Nearly 99% students placed in first batch of university.
University has earn while you learn programs, students can work in library, infra assistant, tutors, etc to contribute to growth of university. Rs.100 per hour is offered.
Companies like amazon, dell, hcl, cognizant, tcs, mother diary land t visited the campus and 95% has been placed with average of 3 lacs and highest 12 lacs for a cse student.
Companies like amazon, dell, hcl, cognizant offer internship programs it also collaborations with duke and carnegie mellon where you do internships.
