Fee is too feasible(low) according to the facilities that are provided by IIT because government is spending too much in IITs. Fee includes 45000 tution fee,12000 mess fee, 3000 gym fee, 500 internet fee, 500 electricity and some other fees with sum to 68,800 per semester.
Course is well established by professors. It include practical marks, tutorial marks and exam marks. other than course subjects IITs offered you with electives courses they can be either from same department or from other department as minor courses.
Fee structure contains 2 parts 1st college fees - Rs 38000 per semester hostel fees = 12000 per semester i don't think this is expensive when compared to other colleges the fees is very much feasible also loans are provided to students. Total fees per 1 year is around Rs 1 lakh (50k per sem)
The first year of our college has common curriculum for all the branches. Courses from all the departments were included in it. From second year to final year courses of a department are available to students of that department. Students are also provided with a facility to do courses from other departments by choosing electives in different departments.
Fee structure of IIT Roorkee is feasible. Annual fee for B.tech, Students is around 2,60,000 which include both dining and residence. Our college also provides fee waiver for those students whose father's income annual income is less than 4,50,000 and in favour college does not take their tuition fee that is 2,00,000.
The fee structure here is a bit high than a middle class person can afford.Recently it has been raised to around 2 lack per year. Although people from poor background are given some scholarship which reduces their fees a lot. As i am in second year my fees is around 1.4 lack per year which includes hostel and mess fees. So fee structure was feasible before the changes made by government.
The name of course which i am having is applied mathematics , it basically is a combination of rigorous mathematics and computer science . The course structure offered here is really good and one can have a very good research career if he go through each course patiently . With topics such as number theory, algebra, differential equations, real analysis,complex analysis etc.
During my times, it used to be very feasible as the per semester fee used to be around 30k including mess fess. Now a days it has increased multifold and has become very expensive. Now the annual fees is around 2 lacs per annum which may not be very feasible to many students.
It was very relevant i studied in B.Tech. so emphasis on research was not very much there. Still, lots of projects were there to get the first hand experience of research. The students having flair of research could do as much projects as they wanted /could have managed.

Fee is feasible for all students for general it will be 118650 rupees for one semester, for other backward caste it will will 2\3 fee wavier for students whose father income is less than 500000 annual.and rest will pay full fee. for sc & st it will be full fee wavier.
There is approximately 1.15 lakh academic fee and 16000 fee for mess. This include hospital charges also. You can avail free medicines referred by the doctors free of cost . this fee is for general students. For sc,st,obc there is no admission fee so there expense will be around 30k-40k.
IIT roorkee course structure is well designed for a future engineer. In first semester there are courses which give you a overall idea of your branch.

The course content is quite contemporary in its structure and is well suited for the industry with projects. There are a good range of electives depending on your interests to choose from in your second semester and you can do some audit courses as well.

In the first year, I am being taught the following courses Mathematics, Introduction to Environmental Studies, Ethics and Self Awareness, Introduction to Computer Science and Engineering. electives in this semester (nor in the next semester), so I don't consider myself qualified to comment on the electives.
