You could take a look at startups that are coming up in IIT's own incubators, in Bangalore and in Hyderabad. This MIGHT sound like I am pushing for startups, but they need good students. There might be several reasons why you didn't get a job on campus, but you have to keep in mind that even in that case, chances are that you are pretty good and can learn fast, rise to the occasion.
Institute Student Mentorship Programme (ISMP) - The aim of the ISMP shall be to help freshmen in adjusting to the new environment through fostering healthy interactions with senior students. This is to be achieved by allotting a “mentor”, that being a senior student, to a group of 10 freshmen. The mentors will be chosen after careful consideration and will be responsible for guiding the freshmen to make the most of their time in IITR, warding off some misconceptions and apprehensions that they have. The mentors are supposed to be go to sources for queries ranging from the trivial to the profound.

A total of around 1100 were placed out of 1500 student this year to the best of my knowledge. From architecture branch, many were placed in different fields like consultation and business development, software development, etc. According to their interest with a package of around 8-12 lpa. Many were also placed in core companies with an average package of 5-7 lpa.
Yes, They provide internship opportunities but in Architecture, direct support from administration for an internship in a company in very less. Though you get a lot of opportunity to apply through various companies by your own and college brand surely helps in scoring a foreign internship.
