IIT Kharagpur has world class faculty. There are approximately 600 faculty in various disciplines who have done PhD from globally renowned universities and done commendable research. The Institute has two Bhatnagar Prizes in the last 3 years and 38 Academy Fellows. Bhatnagar Prize is the most coveted award in multidisciplinary science in India. The faculty members have collectively published more than 1000 research papers in peer reviewed journals and close to 800 conference papers published in proceedings of national and international conferences. The faculty members are running research and consultancy projects close to INR 250 crores funded by national and international agencies and co...
In our department of Mining Engineering of IIT Kharagpur, most of the Professors are foreign qualified. Thus, their experience are world class. They are also looking for the most recent technologies and inform their students to apply the same in the labs. Thus, the students don't face problems when they go to the foreign laboratories.
In the point of view of research Indian Institute Of Technology Kharapur has best faculty members in India, but in my point of view if we discuss about teaching learning they are not so good. only some of them have good knowledge to how to teach students.
The faculty is highly qualified, and as its IIT, it has to be as per the selection procedures. However, their qualification is not of use to the students, except when taking projects under them. About 90% of them are not interested in teaching or don't have teaching skills.
Most of the faculty are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The selection procedure for the faculty positions at IIT-KGP is very exhaustive and hence only the best can make it. The professors have extensive research experience in their respective fields and available at all times for any academic help.
IITs tend to have the best and the most reputed faculty across the country (as well as the globe). Thus, all the teachers are highly knowledgeable and experts in their fields. They have several research papers published in reputed journals. In every semester, some teachers become one's favourites, primarily due to their teaching style.
there are some good, some not good and some average faculties. Most of the professors are full of knowledge, helpful and kind. but, it is the student, who have to get to them for any help. Most of the faculties are Bengali though. One thing that i find that some faculties are only in the college for their research as a result they end up teaching non-interestingly which overall affects the students. in a nutshell, its average.
Most of the faculty of my college is well experienced and has been there for along time.Following old procedures and notes even now.But the faculty is quite promising and friendly.
Our course was started one of the oldest course of IIT Kharagpur and hence the professors. Our professors have vast experience in their domain and are renowned professionals with various national and international journals under their belt. Few of the professors are even working or worked with Government of India.
The faculty in IIT Kharagpur is extremely qualified. All the professors are well experienced and knowledgeable in their fields. Also there are a number of professors who have left their jobs in industries to become professors for the sole reason that they love teaching. Thus there a number of professors whose class you would enjoy attending and wouldn't feel like missing a class.
