MERIT CUM MEANS SCHOLARSHIP (MCM) (For B.Tech./ B.Arch./ Dual Degree/ 5-Year Int. M.Sc. Course) – This scholarship is given to provide financial support to bright students of the campus. Eligibility criteria is as follows: 1) MERIT CRITERION: The students’ academic performance in the two consecutive semesters of the preceding session i.e. the GPA of preceding two semesters must not be lower than 7.00 without any backlog/ unregistered subject(S) and clearing all prescribed credit requirements during the session. 2) MEANS CRITERION: The Gross Annual Income of a student’s parents/guardian and his family from all sources in the preceding financial year must not exceed Rs. 6,00,000/- (...
All the students who are studying MTech. or PhD or MS are getting stipend.The amount is fixed by the Government of India and there is no deduction.Since, the B.Tech. students don't have stipend, some depend on the study loan. The State Bank of India is having a branch in our Institute Campus,which offers study loans to all the students.
Merit Cum Means scholarship plus SBI bank gives loans to every student who wanted at the rate of 9.35 percent, since bank is open campus so there is no problem arises against loan.
Scholarships are offered to the students having family's annual income up to Rs. 6 lacs. There is a certain criteria for the grades. It is termed as Means-cum-Merit (MCM) Scholarship.

Students of pure sciences courses (like Mathematics and Computing, Chemistry, Physics, etc.) are eligible for INSPIRE scholarship which provides INR 80,000 per year. This scholarship is provided by the Department of Science and Technology, India. This covers most of the fee for the institute and is very helpful.
There is a scholarship called MCM scholarship. it pays all your tution fees for college, if u qualify the Grade criteria. also, one can apply for scholarships externally. Also, there is a SBI within campus, which is there to provide loans to the students. But, the rates are not so attractive.
College provides special loan structure of the students and various scholarship programmes. Some of them which I know are Inspire, MCM and other SC/ST scholarships.
I am not aware about scholarship for my course but yes we have State Bank and Punjab National Bank who provide loans to students at very low interest rates.
The government of India has a provision of interest-free loans to the students of IIT though there are some additional conditions that need to be fulfilled. Other than that there is scholarship scheme called MCM(Merit Cum Means ) . Under this scheme a student having family income less than 6 LPA gets his entire tuition fees refunded.
