Plenty and huge array of options. The market is looking for bright young architects and consultants ready to take over. The industry is learning the importance of consultants and architects. Hence it is booming with opportunities and if one is open to ideas and creative enough to let themselves experiment there is huge work satisfaction. You be prepared that this is not going to be a 9-5 job.
Training is ideal with industry or private or government design firms. The individual professors intake students for pre-PHD training etc. That is on them what stipend they would offer.

Jadavpur University placements are one of the best in Bengal. Still I believe these is huge scope of improvement and the students deserve better. They definitely have the capability to work for the best companies in the world. Compared to other departments placement options and opportunities are much lesser. The department itself should aspire for better. But as a student I don't think one needs to be scared because the field is such that even without college placements one is able to find work quite easily (the financial part though when compared to the other departments of JU is mostly depressing but it will be sufficient and if one is capable he/she will definitely achieve a lot later in ...

Since Jadavpur university is well reputed for study therefore the placement is good here. Placement of computer science may be said top class because various companies provide world class packages. Average package in various branches is about 6-8lakhs per annum. Since I am in civil so I know that last year out of nearly 100 students 50-60 were placed or interned in good companies. Also students prefer to study for higher degree.
In this time I may not tell you correctly but I have heard that for students whose family income is low may get some kind of scholarship.

Internship opportunities are huge. The providers are Tata, DSP, Amazon, Goldman and Sachs, HUL, HP just to name a few of them. As I am a fresher so don't know much about the stipend but seniors informed that internship experiences are awesome. They are provided with actual real life problems to solve with deadlines and mentorship.
