Lot of Scholarships available at our time on basis of merit and Projects. It was fair selection of those candidates by professors. All the Scholarships was monitored by a team of professors. There was a continuous evaluation of Merits and based on those recommendations used to go from professors.
JU provides several financial assistance opportunities for meritorious students with humble economic backgrounds. Concession is fees is provide d to upto 10% of the total students. There are also several stipends provided to needy students. There are also financial assistance available to ST/SC and Physically Handicapped students.
The merit scholarship provides your tuition fees for the whole course, There is a sports quote for the university. Generally the university rules are followed. There is no specific scholarship for the department. But the mentors, offices that you work with generally retain trainees for the work if allowed by the department which allows to earn while you learn.

We do have M.Phil fellowship but unfortunately still we're not getting it because of UGC's suspension notice.

Sorry I don't think that there should be any loan facility for the students of Jadavpur as the fees is itself very low that is 10000 for all 4years in total.
I don't have much idea, but I know about alumni association scholarship. They are non profit organisation and NGOs also provide scholarship like FFE, NSW, ONGC etc.
They offer alumni they are the best they offer scholarship they offer help in time of need recently one of my Friend whose family income was less went fir the alumni and he got what he expected the total fee got refunded and the money matters lots for him.
I received SYLFF Fellowship at MA level. No need for loans. Scholarships for needy students and reserved categories are provided by both the university and its Alumni Association.
