Job opportunities are very good since its a recognized college in south. Also they provide good knowledge about the process as well as they have a CCR cell which also takes care of giving training on aptitude and communication. Students are informed well in advance about the companies pipeline and they also have the option to chose their dream company
My college does not provide any internship but they did have a program for the sharp minds which was called as research scholars. Based on the performance of the students they were offered this course.
In mass recruitment around 1000 students are placed every year from all campuses of Amrita. TCS, Wipro, CTS, Infosys, Hyundai, CISCO. etc came offering a range of 30,000/- to- 13 lakhs per annum
Most of the companies are from IT sector. But recently some core companies have made interest now. TCS, Wipro, CTS, Infosys, Hyundai. The stipend varies by companies.

( Mention Companies, Packages in detailed figures)Common placements will happen at the time of final academic year starting. But there are department wise campus placements based on the specialization and core companies.Companies like Microsoft, Oracle, L&T, Bosch pay high salaries and filter students based on the academics.
For GATE qualified students, the UGC provided GATE scholarship shall be given. Internship shall be provided by the departments based on the projects which they have got from external.There are university relationship with foreign universities where students can do their research and get that university internship.At our time, students been to Sweden and Italy to carry their research for around 6 months.
2011 pass out batch had more than 95% placement. Most of them were software companies. Almost 10% were placed in Core industries.I got placed in Tata Advanced Matetrials Limited, a pioneer in Composite Industry supplying Aircraft parts to Airbaus & Boeing. During training period ( 1 yr), it was 2L pa. After that 2.5L/pa + depending on the performance. Though pay was not good enough, the technical take in was really good. A promising place to build a carrier.
Our was the first batch of Chemical Engineering (passed out by 2011). Before that, it has the name of Polymer Engineering. So, not many companies came. Dow Chemicals was the only one who came that time for internship.

I had got internship in Infosys. The internship experience was fabulous and the learning that I got there would come a long way with me in my life. I was taught basics, and I was paid for it! How sweet!
