Established in September 1887, University of Allahabad is a public university and the fourth oldest in India located in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. The University provides admission to various professional and non-professional courses, research and training programs.
University of Allahabad has a dynamic Law Department which offers Undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) as well as doctoral courses to students every year. It offers BA.LLB, LL.B, LL.M, D.Phil. and LL.D degrees under the department of Law.
Students seeking admission to the Bachelor of Law (LL.B) or Integrated BA.LLB programme must have a graduation degree, along with scores in LAT. For BA+LLB admission, students must have passed 10+2 with scores in LFAT.
Law courses are offered at only two constituent colleges of Allahabad University, namely, Chaudhary Mahadeo Prasad Degree College (CMP Degree College) & at Allahabad Degree College.
Candidates can register for admission by filling and submitting the online application form, starting from the first week of April to the first week of May every year.

Foreign Nationals: Non-Resident Indians (citizen of India domiciled abroad) who have graduated from a foreign University, shall not be required to appear in the Admission Test.
Admission to the B.A.LL.B course will be done through an Entrance Test held at All India Level by the University as per the norms and guidelines set by the Bar Council of India by its rules and regulations.

For the Three year-long LL.B course, the candidates must appear for the Law Admission Test.
(LAT) comprising 150 questions of 300 marks. Each correct answer carries 2 marks.
