Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) BA, B.Com and B.Sc Admission 2020: Courses, Application Process, Eligibility

Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), Lucknow is a central university established in 1996, by Government of India. It is recognized by UGC and accredited as an “A” grade university by NAAC. The university has a dynamic campus with more than 4800 students enrolled in a broad range of graduate, post-graduate & doctorate programs.

BBAU offers UG programs in management, commerce, law, arts, education, and Library science. The minimum eligibility required for admission to the UG courses is a Higher Secondary degree in a relevant stream from a recognized board of education or university.

BBAU begins the application process for admission to UG courses in April every year. It is an online process and the application forms are made available on the official website of the university. The entrance test for each course is conducted separately. The test is conducted in offline mode around the month of May every year. After the entrance test, the university releases merit list of selected candidates who are then called for counselling/admission process.

How To Apply

The application process for BBAU is conducted in online mode. It is basically a five-step process. Candidates can apply for UG courses at BBAU by following the steps given below:

Step 1: Visit the official website: www.bbau.ac.in and click on “Online Admission System”.  You will be redirected to www.bbauesolutions.com.

Step 2: On the new page you will find the following information:

  • Information Brochure
  • Our courses
  • Entrance Syllabus
  • Fee Details
  • Notification
  • Important Dates

Step 3: To register, click on “Register and Apply” link. You will be required to enter the following details:

  • Personal Details
  • Contact Details
  • Educational Details
  • About You

After filling the details mentioned above, you will need to review your form and submit it.

Step 4: In the next step, you need to upload the following documents. The file size should be maximum 80Kb and should be in jpg format.

  • Recent colored photograph
  • Signature of the candidate
  • Thumb impression (left thumb for male and right thumb for female)
  • Photo Id which you will carry to the examination hall

Step 5: After uploading the documents, and submitting the application form, you will have to pay application fee. The application fee can be paid in both online and offline mode. Online payment can be done via Credit card/ Debit card/ Netbanking. Offline payment can be done via online generated challan at any ICICI bank branch.

NOTE:

  • Application fee General / OBC category candidates: Rs. 1200/-(Rs. Twelve  hundred  only)
  • Application fee for SC/ ST/ PH candidates: Rs. 600/-(Rs. Six hundred  only)
  • The candidates have to bring admit card and identity proof at the  entrance examination centre

Eligibility Criteria

BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) – 3 years (90 seats)

B.Com. (Bachelor of Commerce)- 3 years (120 seats)

BA Hons. (Public Administration)- 3 years (120 seats)

BBA -LL.B. - 5 years (60 seats)

Eligibility:  Candidate should have passed 10+2 / intermediate with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PH) from a recognized board/ equivalent.

Admission Process

BBAU conducts entrance exam for selection of candidates to UG courses. The entrance test is objective in nature. The university will prepare merit list on the basis of marks scored by candidates in the test. In case of equal marks in the entrance test, preference will be given to candidate with higher marks in the qualifying examination.
