Established in higher education which offers 1867, Lucknow University is one of the oldest government owned institutions of Indian higher education which offers various Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral education through regular mode in multiple streams such as Arts, Science, Commerce, Law and Fine Arts.

For the academic session 2020, Lucknow University has offered the following undergraduate (UG) programmes:

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA)
  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) Hons.
  • Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com)
  • Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) Hons.
  • Bachelor of Science (B.Sc)
  • Integrated LL.B
  • Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA)
  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
  • Integrated MBA

Students seeking admission to the UG courses offered by the university must fulfill the required eligibility criteria as per the university guidelines. Candidates shall be admitted to the UG courses on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance examination, conducted by the university. How To Apply

Candidates seeking admission to UG programme can fill and submit application through online mode via the official university website. Students should follow the below given steps in order to register successfully for Lucknow University UG Admission 2019:

Step 1: Candidates should register themselves through the online admission portal. Upon doing so, the applicants will receive their login details in the mobile number and email ID

Step 2: Then, candidates will be asked to enter their personal details along with the educational qualifications

Step 3: Next, candidates will be asked to upload their scanned photo and signature

Step 4: Applicants can preview all the entries made at this point. If there is some error, they can edit these or start the entire process again. Otherwise, they should proceed for payment of the application fees.

Step 5: After previewing, candidates will be required to submit the form and proceed for payment of the application fees. Form fees can be submitted by any of the following ways – Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking

Application fee:

  • For General and OBC candidates – Rs. 800/- (for undergraduate programme) and Rs. 1000/- (for management undergraduate programme) 
  • For SC and ST candidates – Rs. 400/- (for undergraduate programme) and Rs 500 (for management undergraduate programme)  

Step 7: Finally, applicants can print their completed application form and fee receipt to complete the application process.

Reservation Process

As per the university guidelines, only the Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes candidates originally belonging to Uttar Pradesh will be given the benefit of reservation. Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes candidates of other states will be treated as general.

Admission Process

Candidates are shortlisted for undergraduate (UG) programmes on the basis of scores obtained in the university entrance examination.

For all UG courses offered under different faculties (Except Faculty of Fine Arts), the entrance test will comprise of 100 objective type questions to be answered in 90 minutes.

For Faculty of Fine Arts, the entrance test will comprise of 50 objective type questions to be answered in 60 minutes.

Marking Pattern

  • Each question will be of 4 marks.
  • One mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer
  • Zero mark will be awarded for each un-attempted question
  • In the entrance test, the questions will comprise of subjects which are taught in the intermediate level in various boards such as UP board, ISC and CBSE.

Exam Pattern for BVA/ BFA programme

In case of Entrance Test of the B.V.A./ B.F.A., all Diploma and Certificate courses will be based on practical and written examination.

The examination will consist of the following three parts -

  • Written examination (50 objective type questions related with Art and general awareness) - 200 Marks
  • Object Drawing in pencil with light and shade - 100 Marks
  • Memory drawing in pencil - 100 Marks

Counseling Process: 

Students have to register for offline counseling process by giving their preferences. Students can register for counseling soon after the result.
