Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) offers a wide range of academic programs, both short-term as well as long-term, leading to Undergraduate Degrees, Postgraduate Degrees and Doctoral Degrees.
The School of Education (SOE), IGNOU offers Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Master of Education (M.Ed) at UG and PG level, respectively, along with several other diploma, certificate, and professional courses. For B.Ed and M.Ed courses, applicants must submit the filled-in application form along with the attested copies of documents as specified in Entrance-cum Admission Form. For admission to B.Ed and M.Ed courses, students are shortlisted on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance test, conducted by IGNOU Delhi and usually held in the month of August every year. As for the semester examinations, the University conducts Term-end Examination twice a year in the months of June & December.

Candidates will be required to register for the entrance exam (IGNOU B.Ed-2020 ‘ON-LINE) through the portal available at the official website.
One has to apply separately for the entrance exam and admission by submitting separate forms. The entry form is to be filled and submitted through online mode.
For the IGNOU B.Ed-2020 ‘ON-LINE exam:
Download the Confirmation Page and print at least four copies of Confirmation Page.
Applicants who qualify the entrance test can apply for admission by filling the Admission Form.
The forms can be submitted offline as well, along with the necessary documents.
While filling up the form, certain things are to be noted by the candidate that are stated below:-
Students who are not able to clear their program within the maximum duration can take re-admission for an additional period in continuation of the earlier period.
Candidates seeking admission to the B.Ed./M.Ed. program are advised not to pay the program fee along with the online entrance exam form.
They will be contacted separately regarding their admission and payment of fees. The program fee should be paid only by way of Demand Draft drawn in favor of IGNOU payable at the city where one’s Regional Centre is situated. One must write in capital letters their name and the program, i.e., B.Ed., on the back of the Demand Draft to ensure proper credit of their fee to the relevant account.

The reservation for SC/ST/OBC and other categories shall be as per the rules of the Central Government/ State Government, whichever is applicable. There shall be a relaxation of 5% marks in favor of SC/ST/OBC and other categories of candidates.
The University provides reservation of seats for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, the non-creamy layer of OBC, Economically Weaker Sections, War Widows, Kashmiri Migrants, and Physically Handicapped learners, as per the Government of India rules, for admission to its various programs.
Admission of eligible candidates to the B.Ed/M.Ed program shall be done on the basis of the score obtained in the online entrance test conducted by NTA all over India.
The candidate will be required to submit the online entrance exam form. The original documents are to be verified later after receiving an offer letter for admission at concerned regional centers.
The Entrance Test for B.Ed. will be held on 27th July 2020 (Tentative).
Hall tickets are dispatched ten days before the Entrance Test.
In case of non-receipt of Hall Tickets three days before the date of Entrance Test, they can download the same from the IGNOU website and report to the Examination Centre for appearing in the Entrance Test.
Result cards for the Entrance tests indicating the qualifying/non-qualifying status would be dispatched.
Note: The final admission to the program shall be subject to their rank in the merit list in the Entrance Test and production of proof of their eligibility at the time of the last date of submission of application along the with original certificates and program fees.
M.Ed Application Form:
For M.Ed. the program fee is INR.36,000/- for the entire two years. For B.Ed. the program fee is INR. 50,000/- for the entire program. The total fee is to be paid at the time of admission.
