SPSU B.Tech, M.Tech & MBA Admission 2020: Eligibility, Application Process, Result

Sir Padampat Singhania University (SPSU) offers four UG & three PG programmes in different specializations. SPSU granted admission in all courses on the basis of Sir Padamoat Singhania Admission Test (SPSAT). Admission test is completely online in nature so those students who want to take admission in the university have to book their exam slots wisely. SPSAT is the online admission test conducted by the University to offer admission to students in engineering, management & doctorate courses. The duration of the test is for 60 minutes which consist of total 40 multiple choice questions (MCQ’s). The distribution of marks is different for different courses. There is no negative marking for the wrong answers in the test.  SPSU has  several industrial & academic collaborations with Cisco. Parametric Technological Corporation, ASME & Hitachi Rail Systems, Japan. It has been ranked 95th in India by National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF), MHRD Govt. of India. Students have to follow a common application process for all courses. During the selection process merit list will be prepared for counselling purpose. Students also have to appear for Personal Interview (PI) for Ph.D.

The university offers four years B.Tech programmes in following specializations:

  • Computer Science Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering

  • Rail & Transportation Engineering
Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech programmes

Students must have passed Higher Secondary or its equivalent exam from a recognized university with 60% marks in aggregate (Preferably).

Selection Process

Students can opt for SPSAT after 15 days of registration. The only criteria to take admission in SPSU are to qualify the SPSAT. Students who will qualify the test will be informed by the University.

Note 1: For Ph.D. programme students shortlisted in SPSAT will be called for personal Interview by university authorities.

Note 2: A student can opt for the second attempt of the test if he/she is not satisfied with his/her performance in the first attempt of the test. Applicant has to again pay the entrance test fee & have to book the available exam slot for the second attempt.

Note 3: Although the number of questions & duration of the test is same but distribution of marks for different sections is different for different courses as mentioned below:

How to apply ?

  • Students looking for admission have to fill the online application form after which they will get the access to book the slot for online test. As soon as the students will choose the exam slot, a confirmation mail will be sent to his/her e-mail ID with respect to the application form.
  • There is a separate application form available on the official website of SPSU for different courses offered by the university.
  • You can apply online for all programmes on SPSU website and also make payment through online mode.
  • You have to download the application form & fill the required details & send it along with the Demand Draft of INR 1150 drawn in favor of ‘Sri Padampat Singhania University’ to:

Note: Although the above mentioned application process is applicable for Ph.D. course but students can also directly download the application form & send it to the respective university address after filling it properly. Students can download the application form by official website of SPSU.

Documents required to be submitted along with the application form:

  • Copy of marks sheet of class Xth & XIIth.
  • Copy of migration & transfer certificate (if applicable)
  • Copy of marks sheet of bachelor & master’s degree(as applicable)
  • Two coloured passport size  photographs
  • List of Publications (as application)
  • Category certificate (for SC/ST/OBS & others)
  • Demand Draft with name & registration number mentioned on the back side.
  • Marks letter of CSIR/UGC (if applicable)


SPSU offers scholarship to the meritorious students at the time of admission. Check here the eligibility norms for various scholarships offered by the university:

For meritorious students: Students who will secure 80% and above marks in class XIIth will get 15 to 50% relaxation in tuition fee on the basis of SPSAT Entrance exam score.

For Economically challenged students: Talented students can apply for tuition fee relaxation with respect to the production of valid income certificate.

Sushila Singhania Scholarship:

  • Benefits of this scholarship will be offered to the overall topper of the university i.e. 100% relaxation in academic fee.
  • 70% relaxation in tuition fee to those students who will secure GPA of 9.0 & above in the respective semesters.
  • Topper of each discipline will get 60% relaxation in the tuition fee provided they have secured GPA of 8.0 or above. (minimum number of students in that discipline should be at least 10)
