Lucknow University is one of the prestigious state university located in Lucknow. Lucknow University offers admission to BBA (Bachelor of business administration) and B.Com (Hons) programs. Lucknow University BBA and B.Com (Hons) Programs Eligibility Criteria


BBA Eligibility

For General and OBC candidates, a pass certificate in class 12 or equivalent examination is a must with at least 50% aggregate marks and for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes minimum requirement is 45% marks based on total marks of all subjects.

B.Com (Hons) Eligibility

Intermediate or equivalent examination with commerce or Intermediate with economics or mathematics as one of the subjects of study.

General and OBC candidates must secure at least 60% of marks and for SC and ST minimum requirement is 55% aggregate marks.

Lucknow University BBA and B.Com (Hons) Programs How to Apply?


The registration process will be started from March 27, 2018 (tentatively). Candidates who wish to apply can submit the application form on the official website of the university. The registration window will be closed on May 12, 2018. Applications received after due date will not be accepted.

It is candidate’s responsibility that all the information mentioned on the application form must be correct and exactly same with the information of original documents. Candidates are required to give a valid email address or phone number on the application form.

Students have to pay the application fee of INR 1000 at the time of registration process. There is relaxation of INR 500 for reserved category candidates.

Steps to Apply

  1. Go to the official website of Lucknow University i.e.
  2. Click on admission link
  3. Register by using your email id and password
  4. Login after the confirmation of email
  5. Enter the details asked in application form
  6. Upload the signature and photograph in jpeg format
  7. Image size should not be more than 50 kb
  8. Save the application form
  9. Pay the application fee by either of the available mode
  10. Take the print out of application form for reference.

Lucknow University BBA and B.Com (Hons) Programs Selection Process

The selection process for admission to BBA and B.Com (Hons) program is based on written test.

  • Application suitable for admission, will be called for written test.
  • After the declaration of written test result qualifying candidates on the basis of their performance in written test, will be considered for admission.
  • The final selection is done on the basis of merit.

In Case of Tie Breaker

If two or more candidates have secured equivalent marks/rank in the merit Index, then the merit for admission will be determined in following ways:

  • If the marks secured in the entrance test are same in such cases first preference will be given to candidate who secures higher percentage of marks at High School or equivalent examination.
  • If the marks obtained at the High School or equivalent examination are the same, then in that case the older candidate will be given priority.

Lucknow University BBA and B.Com (Hons) Programs Reservation Criteria

Lucknow University is offering reservation for reserved category candidates (SC/ ST/ OBC). The complete reservation criteria are mentioned in the table given below.

Note: The scheduled caste, scheduled tribes and other backward class candidates originally belonging to Uttar Pradesh will be given the benefit of reservation. SC, ST and OBC candidates of other states will be treated as general.
