Lucknow University offers 120 seats for BBA and 100 seats for B.Com (Hons) program.

Minimum eligibility for BBA is 10+2 examination with a minimum of 50% marks. For B.Com (Hons), the candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with Commerce or Intermediate with Economics or Mathematics as one of the subjects.

Selection to both the programs is done on the basis of the entrance test conducted by the university. The university offers an online mode of the application process to the candidates.

How to Apply

The university offers an online mode of application to the candidates. Pay the application fees through online mode.

  • Visit the official website of the university and click on the Admissions tab.
  • The candidates must register by filling in the relevant details.
  • The candidates will receive their log-in credentials.
  • Applicants have to enter their personal details.
  • Followed by academic qualifications.
  • Upload a scanned passport size photograph along with a signature.
  • Preview all the entries made form before clicking on submit.
  • Pay the application fees through credit/debit card or net banking.
  • Print the application form and fees receipt to complete the application process. 

Application Fees:-

B.Com (Hons): INR 800 (General and OBC) and INR 400 (SC/ST)

BBA: INR 1000 (General and OBC) and INR 500 (SC/ST)

BBA Management SciencesBBA International BusinessBBA (Tourism)
  • Candidate must pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum 50% marks.
  • A minimum of 45% marks for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates.

B.Com (Hons.)

  • Candidates have cleared in 10+2 examinations with commerce or pass intermediate with Economics or Mathematics as one of the subjects.
  • General and OBC candidates must score a minimum aggregate of 60% marks.
  • SC/ST candidates must score a minimum aggregate of 55% marks.

B.Com (Pass)

  • For General and OBC candidates, the minimum requirement of marks is 40%
  • SC/ST candidates must score a minimum of 33%

Reservation Criteria

Lucknow University is offering reservation for reserved category candidates (SC/ ST/ OBC). The complete reservation criteria are mentioned in the table given below:

OBC (Other Backward Classes of UP)27%

Note: Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes and OBC candidates belonging to Uttar Pradesh will come under the reservation criteria. However, SC, ST and OBC candidates belonging to other states will be given admission under General category.

Selection Process

Admission to both the courses is granted on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the entrance test conducted by the university.


If two or more candidates have secured equivalent marks/rank in the merit Index, then the merit for admission will be determined in the following ways:

  • First preference will be given to the candidate who secured a higher percentage of marks at High School or equivalent examination.
  • The second preference will be to the candidate who is older in age.

The entrance test will comprise of 100 objective type questions that have to be answered in 90 minutes.
For each incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted. For every correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded.

For BBA- 

The test will be based on the following topics:

  • General Awareness
  • Numerical Ability
  • Logical Reasoning
  • Current Affairs
  • Mental Ability

For B.Com (Hons.)-

In the entrance test, there will be questions from subjects that are taught at the 10+2 level in various boards like ISC and CBSE.

The test will be based on the following topics:

  • Accounting
  • Commerce
  • Economics
  • Mathematics

The university will prepare a merit list based on the marks secured by the candidate in the entrance exam, according to which the counselling session will take place.
