IGNOU offers various UG, PG and Doctoral level courses in multiple specializations under different schools through distance education mode. The university offers Master of Commerce (M.Com) in four specializations under the School of Management Studies (SOMS). The duration of the course is two years (minimum) and can extend up to five years (maximum).
For admission to M.Com, a candidate must have passed Bachelors degree from a recognized university. Selection of the candidates is done on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying degree. Program fee is INR 13,200 (6600 per year). IGNOU invites applications for admission to M.Com twice a year i.e. in January and July. Interested candidates can register for the M.Com program directly through the official IGNOU admission portal and submit the fees via Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking. M.Com (General) is specially designed to equip students with necessary conceptual, entrepreneurial and analytical skills required for handling the Business Operation, particularly in International Business.
Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree or any higher degree from a recognized university.
Students with a disability of 40% or more are given additional two years beyond the maximum duration prescribed for the completion of program. IGNOU offers reservation to SC/ST/ NCL-OBC/ War Widows/ Kashmiri Migrants and Physically Handicapped as per the rules prescribed by Government of India.
Scholarship forms can be obtained from the Regional Center of IGNOU followed by submission at Social Welfare Office or Directorate of Social Welfare in the respective states.
National Center for Promotion of Employment of Disabled People (NCPEDP) also offers scholarships to the students enrolled in the PG programs offered by IGNOU.
