The main motive of the open learning courses offered by TNDALU?, School of Distance Education is to provide diverse knowledge in all fields related to law education, so that students can use their expertise in every area whatever they are studying. All courses (One in corporate law, 12 in PG Diploma & one certificate) have been offered by Department of Distance Education under School of Excellence in Law (SOEL).

The admission process of TNDALU is very flexible with fixed scheme of examination that is why students prefer this university for distance courses.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Students must have passed any Graduate / Post graduate degree through recognized university.
  • Students who have obtained PG degree under Open University System are also eligible. Those students who are pursuing any other course after graduation are also eligible to apply.

Certificate Programme in Documentation:

Students must have passed 10+2 or equivalent qualification from recognized board.

Admission Process

Selection will be done on the basis of marks obtained in qualifying examination. Ranking list will be prepared by considering the marks obtained by applicant in each Diploma course.

Note: Communal reservation will be followed in the selection process as prescribed by Tamil Nadu state.

Application Process

Students can obtain the application form through any of the two processes given below:

In person:

  • You can obtain the application form in person by visiting the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University campus after payment of INR 500 (INR 250 for SC/ST) through Demand Draft drawn in favor of ‘The Registrar the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University Payable at Chennai’ for PG Diploma courses.
  • Send the completely filled application form along with relevant documents in person   to:

“Principal of respective Government Law College”

Through Post:

  • To obtain the application form you need to send the requisition letter to the registrar with fees of INR 600 (INR 350 for SC/ST) through Demand Draft drawn in favour of ‘The Registrar the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University Payable at Chennai’ for PG Diploma courses.
  • Send the duly filled application form with relevant documents to:

Note: 1. Application Fee is required to be paid through Challan only; Performa for the same can be downloaded from the university’s website. Fee payment through money order, cash, bank pay order, cheque will not be accepted. 

2. The separate application form is required to be filled if you want to apply for more than one course.

Documents required to be enclosed along with the application form:

  • Provisional degree certificate of LL. B degree/ LL. B honours/ Integrated LL. B. (Depending upon which particular course you are going to apply)
  • Copies of SSC & HSC mark sheet along with Date of Birth certificate
  • Community certificate including SC/ST/Muslims & others
  • Special category certificate like children of Ex-Serviceman if applicable.

Hi Ishwar, admission process being followed in this university is completely offline. Candidates can follow the following steps to apply for admission:

  • Candidates can obtain the application form available at the university website
  • Candidates can either get the application form directly from the university or choose to obtain it by post.
  • The application fee is INR 1000 (INR 500 for SC/ST candidates).
  • Filled-in form should be sent/submitted to the university along with all the supporting documents within the stipulated time.
