BITS Pilani (Birla Institute of Technology and Science) is one of India’s leading higher education institutes and a deemed university. It offers admission to Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) program.
Students must have Master’s Degree in relevant discipline with minimum 60% marks to be eligible for the program. The registration has been closed on May 16, 2017. But the admission process is still under way. The application fee is INR 2200.
The selection is done on the basis of written test and interview round. Candidates must qualify both the stages of selection process to be eligible for admission to Ph.D. program in BITS Pilani.

To be eligible for admission to Ph.D. program in BITS, candidates must fulfill the complete eligibility criteria mentioned below:
The registration is done in offline mode only. Candidates who wish to apply can download the application form from the official website of the institute i.e. www.bits-pilani.ac.in. The last date of registration is May 16, 2017. Applications received after the due date will not be accepted.
Students need to pay an application fee of INR 2200 at the time of registration process. It can be paid in the form of demand draft in the favor of Dean Admission, BITS Pilani, Pilani 333031.
Duly filled application form along with all the required documents send it to “Dean Admission, BITS Pilani, Pilani 333031”. All the information which is mentioned on the application form must be correct and similar to the information of original documents. Applicants have to mention a valid email address or phone number on the application form.
Steps to Apply:
Step 1: Visit the website i.e. www.bitsadmission.com.
Step 2. Click on admission link and download application form
Step 3. Fill application form with all required information
Step 4. Attach all the required documents
Step 5: Send it to prescribed address.
The selection process consists of written test followed by interview. Those who will qualify both stages of selection process will be considered for admission.
Pattern and Syllabus
A. Candidates shortlisted for written test in any of the following disciplines- Biological Science/ Chemistry/ Mathematics/ Physics have to appear for two written tests. Paper I will be common for all disciplines and Paper II will be discipline specific.
Paper I: The question paper consists of 30 MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions). The duration of the paper is one hour only. Two marks will be awarded for every correct answer and 0.5 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. The questions will be based on the following topics.
Paper II: Paper II is a subject based paper. Candidates have to attempt 70 questions in the duration of two hours. All the questions will be in MCQ format. Each question carries two marks. 0.5 marks will be deducted for every incorrect response.
B. Candidates applying for Ph.D. in Languages/ Humanistic Studies/ Economics are required to appear for two written tests.
Paper I: Paper I will be common for all candidates. The question paper consists of 50 objective type of questions. Students will get the duration of one hour to attempt all the questions. Paper I will comprise of the following subjects:

C. Candidates shortlisted for Test in Pharmacy.
The question paper will be divided into two parts. Part-A would be common to all and would consist of questions in general Pharmacy subjects and Part-B will be based on subject taken by students in their M.Pharm. Degree Program.
