MICA PGDM-C Admission 2019: Courses, Admit Card, Placement, Fees

Mudra Institute of Communication, Ahmedabad was established in 1991. The institute offers postgraduate programs, fellowship programs and certificate programs in the fields of Marketing Research, Digital Communication Management, Brand Management, Media Management and Advertising Management, and Communication & Social Change. It imparts education in two modes namely Residential and Online. Out of 10 courses, 3 courses are offered on campus and 7 courses are being offered through the online mode. MICA provides admission to candidates in Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Communication in five specializations:

  • Advertising & Brand Management
  • Digital Communication Management
  • Marketing Analytics
  • Media & Entertainment Management
  • Development Management & Social Enterprise

The application process will commence from Last week of September. The minimum eligibility required is that a candidate must have a Bachelor's degree (in keeping with the 10+2+3 system) or an equivalent qualification in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

The application form is available in both online and offline modes. The application fee can be paid in both online or offline mode. Selection of candidates is based on three aspects such as:

  • CAT , XAT and GMAT
  • MICA Admission Test (MICAT)
  • All the candidates shortlisted after MICAT shall appear for both Group Exercise & Personal Interview

MICA PGDM-C Application Procedure

The application form is available both in offline and online mode. Candidates need to register on the official website of university. The steps of application process are as follows:

  • Visit official website of university
  • Click on ‘Apply Online’ and further on ‘PGDM-C’ Course
  • There are two options-New registration and Already registered users.
  • Upon clicking on New Registration, a registration window appears
  • Fill the registration form and submit it
  • A user ID and password is sent to the registered mobile number
  • Login with the login credentials provided and fill the application form
  • Upload the scanned copies of documents, photograph and signature and submit it
  • After this, candidates will be directed to payment page where payment can be made through credit card, debit card or net banking
  • After payment, the final submission of application will be done

Required Documents

Documents are required for the verification of candidature. The list of documents to be attached are as follows:

  • Relevant marksheets of each level of education such as 10+2, Graduation etc.
  • Valid GMAT Score

Application Fee

Candidates can make payment of INR 1965 through online or offline mode. In online mode, payment can be made through credit card, debit card or net banking. In offline mode, payment can be made through demand draft drawn in favour of “MICA” payable at Ahmedabador can submit cash at the MICA admission office.

Foreign nationals/NRIs should mail a hard copy of the duly filled application form, along with application fees of US$ 40 or an equivalent amount in INR.

MICA PGDM-C Selection Process

Selection of candidates will be based on three aspects:

  • CAT, XAT and GMAT: Each candidate has to take at least one of the three exams: CAT, XAT and GMAT.
  • MICA Admission Test (MICAT): All the candidates are assessed on MICAT which consists of 6 sections: Psychometric (P), Verbal Ability (VA), Quantitative Ability (QA), General awareness (GA), Divergent-Convergent Reasoning (DCR) and Descriptive Test (DT).
  • All the candidates shortlisted after MICAT shall appear for both Group Exercise & Personal Interview

Note: Weightage of MICAT is 50%, Group Exercise is 18%, Personal Interview is 30% and CAT/XAT/GMAT is 2%.
