APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, formerly known as Kerala Technological University (KTU), was established by the Government of Kerala in 2014. It has been established both as a teaching and affiliation university with numerous colleges running under its jurisdiction. APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University offers the MBA programme to its students through the CET School of Management under College of Engineering, Trivandrum. University offers time to time reservation & scholarship to meritorious students.

The University offers MBA in full time & part time mode with various specializations. Students looking for admission in part time (offered in evening shift) MBA have to maintain equal balance in their studies as well as in job too.

Eligibility Criteria


MBA Regular

Seat: 120

Duration: 2 years

Eligibility for Regular MBA:

  • Students who have been awarded or qualified for the award of the Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology / Business Administration with 50% marks in aggregate are eligible to apply.
  • Or those students are also eligible to apply who have obtained the Bachelor’s degree in Arts / Science / Commerce with 50% marks in aggregate. For SC/ST students a pass in bachelor degree is sufficient.

MBA (Part time) Programme

Seats: Total seat for MBA evening programme is 30. Two seats are reserved for students deputed by Kerala Government. 3 seats are reserved for SC/ST students.

Duration: 2 years

Eligibility for Part-Time MBA:

  • Students must have passed the bachelor's degree examination with minimum of 50% aggregate.
  • A minimum of two years of full time work experience after acquiring the bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Students should have attained the minimum of twenty five years of age as  on January 01.

How to Apply?


  • Students looking for admission in MBA programmes can obtain the application form through post by sending a Demand Draft of INR 600 (INR 500 in person) drawn in favor of ‘CET School of Management’ payable at Thiruvananthapuram.
  • Students can also download the Application form from the official website of KTU.
  • Duly filled application form super scribed with ‘Admission to MBA Programme’ along with required documents must reach to the following address:

Selection Process


Students looking for admission in MBA course must have valid score in the Common Management Aptitude Test CMAT/CAT/MAT  as decided by the Government of Kerala.

CET school of Management offers scholarship to topper students of each trimester in MBA programme. The amount of scholarship is equal to the amount of tuition fee applicable to the student. Available scholarships are CETAA Endowment Award & PTA scholarship.
