Madras University offers M.A, M.Sc., MCA, M.Com., M.Tech, M.Lib.I.Sc., M.L. International Law and Organization, and M.Ed.
M.A and M.Sc. are offered in 45 and 36, MCA, M.Com, MBA, and M.Tech in 2 specializations respectively. The minimum Duration of these programs is 2 years.
The minimum eligibility criteria for these programs any Bachelor?s Degree from a recognized university.
Admission to the above programs is done by the entrance examination conducted by Madras University. Candidates can apply online by visiting the University website by paying an application fee of INR 354/-, (i.e. INR 300 + 18% GST of INR 54/-) through online mode.
The number of seats is limited to each Department offering the courses and selections are based on the reservation policy prescribed by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu. However, 15 percent of supernumerary seats are available for Foreign Nationals including NRIs. They need not appear for Entrance Test. Two supernumerary seats are available for Jammu & Kashmir students in all the departments.

There will be an entrance examination for admission to various courses offered in the University Departments for the Academic Year 2019-2020. The students can download their hall tickets from the university website and any queries regarding the entrance examination should be addressed to the HOD of the respective Department. The entrance examination will be held Department-wise for the benefit of the students.
