IISER Pune (Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Pune) is a private institute. It is among the top institutes in India in the field of Science Education and Research. The institute offers admission in BS MS (Bachelor of Science + Master of Science), Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy), and Integrated Ph.D. (integrated Doctor of Philosophy).
BS MS is a five-year integrated course for 12th passed students with Science group. The first two years of the program are dedicated to core course in basic sciences, the third and fourth years are dedicated to specialization in chosen science subjects and the fifth year includes a research project.
IISER, Pune offers BS MS program in five different streams such as:
Students who wish to apply can submit the application form on the official website of the institute i.e. www.iiserpune.ac.in. Applicants have to pay an application fee of INR 1500 at the time of registration process (For SC/ ST INR 750).
The selection is done on the basis of entrance test score. Shortlisted candidates will be considered for admission to BS MS program in IISER, Pune.
50% of the total seats will be given to candidates belonging to KVPY and JEE Advanced streams. The other half of the total seats will be available for SCB stream candidates. The total seats available in BS MS program is 1125.

To seek admission to BS MS program in Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Pune, candidates have to fulfill the complete eligibility criteria mentioned below:
Candidates must have passed class 12 examination with minimum 75% aggregate marks in Science stream. Candidates who have secured a rank list of JEE Advanced for admission to IIT can also apply for IISER.
|SA||Candidates must have enrolled in class XI and they must have secured minimum 80% aggregate marks (70% marks for reserved category candidates) in class 10thexams with Mathematics and Science as main subjects.|
|SX||Candidates must have enrolled in class 12thand secured a minimum of 80% marks in class 10thexaminations. They must acquire minimum 60% aggregate marks (50% marks for reserved category candidates) in class 12thexaminations before availing the fellowship.|
|SB||Candidates must have enrolled in the 1stYear of any UG course in Science stream and they must have secured a minimum of 60% marks (50% for reserved category) in Science subjects (PCB) in 10+2 examinations. They must secure 60% (50% for reserved category) marks in the 1styear final examination of B.Sc. /B.S. /B. Math. /B. Stat. /Int. M.Sc. /M. S course.|
A cut off list will be released for candidates who have applied through this category, such candidates will be required to secure marks equal to or above the cut off marks in class 12 examination.
There is relaxation of 5% marks for OBC and PwD category candidates. Applicants belonging to SC/ ST category need 55% marks to be eligible to admission process.

The registration is done in online mode. Students who wish to apply can submit the application form on the official website of the institute i.e. www.iiserpune.ac.in. Applications received after the due date will not be entertained.
It is candidate’s responsibility to make sure that all the information which is mentioned on the application form must be correct and similar to the information of original documents.
Applicants need to mention a valid email address or phone number on the application form. All the information regarding admission process will be sent by email only.
Students have to pay an application fee of INR 1500 at the time of registration process. It can be paid in online mode through net banking, credit card, and debit card (For SC/ ST INR 750).
Steps to Apply:
The selection is done on the basis of JEE Advanced/ KVPY score. Those applying through SCB stream will have to appear for IISER Aptitude Test mandatorily.
Shortlisted candidates on the basis of their entrance test score are required to go for document verification process. Students have to bring their all the required documents original along with photocopy at the document verification center.
IISER Aptitude Test:
JEE Advanced is a national level exam conducted for B.E/ B.Tech admissions into 23 IITs. The paper is held in offline mode (pen and paper based).
Candidates must have qualify JEE Main to be eligible for JEE Advanced. The exam is held in two papers- paper 1 and paper 2. The questions in JEE Advanced will be asked from subjects as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Students have to attempt all the questions in the duration of three hours.
KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana) is a national exam. The exam is held in online (computer based test) as well as offline mode (pen and paper based).
The exam has two sections Part I and Part II with a total weightage of 100 marks. The question paper will be in both English and Hindi. Students will get the duration of three hours to attempt all the questions.
