IISER Pune BS MS Admission notification has been released. The registration process will start from April 24 till April 30. IISER BS-MS exam will be conducted on May 31.
IISER Pune offers BS-MS program in five different streams i.e. Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, and Social Sciences & Humanities. Applicants can register themselves on the official website by providing correct credentials and paying an application fee of INR 2000 (for SC/ ST INR 1000).
BS MS is a five-year integrated course. The first two years of the program are dedicated to core course in basic sciences, the third and fourth years are dedicated to specialization in chosen science subjects and the fifth year includes a research project.
The total intake in BS MS is 1125. Out of this 50% of the total seats will be given to candidates belonging to KVPY and JEE Advanced streams. The other half of the total seats will be available for SCB stream candidates.
It offers BS-MS (Bachelor of Science + Master of Science), Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy), and Integrated Ph.D. (integrated Doctor of Philosophy). Check IISER Admission 2020

Applicants can register themselves online by visiting the Institute’s website i.e. www.iiserpune.ac.in. Applications received after the due date will not be entertained. It is a candidate’s responsibility to make sure that all the information which is mentioned in the application form must be correct and similar to the information of original documents.
Applicants need to mention a valid email address or phone number on the application form. All the information regarding admission process will be sent by email only.
Students have to pay an application fee of INR 2000 at the time of the registration process. It can be paid in online mode through net banking, credit card, and debit card (For SC/ ST INR 1000).

Eligibility criteria for admission to the BS-MS program offered by IISER Pune is given below:
|SA||Candidates must have enrolled in class XI and they must have secured a minimum of 80% aggregate marks (70% marks for reserved category candidates) in class 10thexams with Mathematics and Science as main subjects.|
|SX||Candidates must have enrolled in class 12thand secured a minimum of 80% marks in class 10thexaminations. They must acquire minimum 60% aggregate marks (50% marks for reserved category candidates) in class 12thexaminations before availing the fellowship.|
|SB||Candidates must have enrolled in the 1stYear of any UG course in Science stream and they must have secured a minimum of 60% marks (50% for reserved category) in Science subjects (PCB) in 10+2 examinations. They must secure 60% (50% for reserved category) marks in the 1styear final examination of B.Sc. /B.S. /B. Math. /B. Stat. /Int. M.Sc. /M. S course.|
A cut off list will be released for candidates who have applied through this category, such candidates will be required to secure marks equal to or above the cut off marks in class 12 examination. There is a relaxation of 5% marks for OBC and PwD category candidates. Applicants belonging to SC/ ST category need 55% marks to be eligible for the admission process.

Selection to BS-MS is granted on the basis of JEE Advanced/ KVPY score. Those applying through SCB stream will have to appear for IISER Aptitude Test mandatorily.
Shortlisted candidates need to verify documents. They have to bring all the required documents in original as well as photocopy at the document verification center.
IISER Aptitude Test:
KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana) is a national exam. The exam is held in online (computer-based test) as well as offline mode (pen and paper-based).
The exam has two sections Part I and Part II with a total weightage of 100 marks. The question paper will be in both English and Hindi. Students will get a duration of three hours to attempt all the questions.
