Kalyani University Distance Education Admission 2018

Kalyani University was established in 1960, is a state-government administered university in Nadia district of West Bengal, India. It offers courses at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels. In 2016 University of Kalyani has been awarded ‘A’ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

University provides admission to PG level courses through Distance education. It offers admission to Master of Arts courses in various streams such as Bengali, English, History, Education and Public Administration.

For PG courses:

  • Registration process starts form August 1, 2018 (Tentative).
  • Last date of registration without late fee is September 23, 2018 (Tentative).
  • Last date of registration with late fee is November 18, 2018 (Tentative).
  • The basic eligibility required is Graduation with at least 50% marks.
  • Application form is available online but the application process is offline.
  • Application fee must be paid through online mode i.e. SBI Collect or offline mode i.e. Challan
  • Selection of candidates will be based on merit
  • The duration of courses is 2-years
  • Mode of Application

Kalyani University Distance Education Eligibility Criteria


The university set up the eligibility criteria for shortlisting the candidates. The criteria are as follows:

Hons. / General Graduate (10+2+3) with qualifying marks in the subject concerned carrying a total of at least 300 marks; OR Pass Graduate (10+2+2) with one-year bridge course in relevant subject; OR Pass Graduate [(10+1+3) / (11+3)] with qualifying marks in the subject concerned carrying a total of at least 300 marks

Kalyani University Distance Education Application Form


Application form is available online on the official website. The steps of application procedure are as follows:

  • Visit the official website i.e.
  • Click on “DODL: M.A. Part I Admission,2018” and further on ‘Admission form’ and ‘Enrolment form’.
  • Download the form.
  • Payment of course must be made Online through SBI Collect or Pre-Acknowledgement payment challan
  • After online payment, duly filled in Application Form and Enrolment Form must be accompanied with relevant documents and must be submitted to the DODL office.

Required Documents

Documents to be attached with the application form are as follows:

  • 03 stamp size color recent photograph
  • 02 photocopies of Bank Payment Confirmation Receipt of SBI Collect
  • Self-attested copy of mark sheets of all previous public examinations passed
  • Proof of date of birth

Application Fee

Application fee must be paid by online or offline mode. In online mode payment must be made through SBI Collect. In offline mode payment is made through Pre-acknowledgment payment challan. The application fee is INR 100.
