Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Directorate of Distance Education imparts higher education in fields of Humanities, Social Science, Life Science, and Medicines.
Directorate of Distance Education, LNMU offers Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course through Distance mode. The duration of this program is 2 years and seat intake is 500.
Application to DDE, LMNU can be made in both online and offline mode. Candidates can download the form and submit it offline by paying an application fee of INR 1000 through the Challan of Central bank. Form submission will be start from February 1 and last date of submission of application form will be March 2.
DDE, LNMU requires candidates to secure at least 50% marks in the last qualifying examination as basic eligibility. However, the selection of candidates will be based on their performance in the Common Entrance Test.

The application form for B.Ed is available in both online or offline mode. In online mode, application form must be downloaded from the official website. Whereas, if the applicant is willing to apply in offline mode, he/she must obtain the application form by speed post/registered post/courier or in person.

Candidates need to pay the application fee of INR 1000 in form of challan of Central Bank of India in any branch within India. No other mode of payment will be accepted by the university. Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Selection of candidates will be based on their performance in Common Entrance Test (CET). It consists of 120 objective type questions carrying one mark each. Complete duration of test is 2 hours. Standard of questions will be based in the curriculum of classes prescribed by the NCERT/CBSE. The exam is divided into 5 sections such as:
