Lalit Narayan Mithila University Distance Education (LNMU DDE) B.Ed Admission 2020: Eligibility, Application Process, Dates

Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Directorate of Distance Education imparts higher education in fields of Humanities, Social Science, Life Science, and Medicines.

Directorate of Distance Education, LNMU offers Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course through Distance mode. The duration of this program is 2 years and seat intake is 500.

Application to DDE, LMNU can be made in both online and offline mode. Candidates can download the form and submit it offline by paying an application fee of INR 1000 through the Challan of Central bank. The last date of submission of application form will be the Second week of May. 

DDE, LNMU requires candidates to secure at least 50% marks in the last qualifying examination as basic eligibility. However, the selection of candidates will be based on their performance in the Common Entrance Test.

Lalit Narayan Mithila University Distance Education B.Ed. Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria is set up by the university. The set-up eligibility is as follows:

  • Candidates having 50% marks in graduation/post-graduation.
  • Untrained teacher.
  • Trained in-service teachers in Elementary education.
  • Candidate who has completed a NCTE recognized teacher education program through face-to-face mode.


Lalit Narayan Mithila University Distance Education B.Ed. Application Procedure

The application form for B.Ed is available in both online or offline mode. In online mode, application form must be downloaded from the official website. Whereas, if the applicant is willing to apply in offline mode, he/she must obtain the application form by speed post/registered post/courier or in person.

Duly filled application form along with a challan of INR 1000( to be paid through challan of Central Bank of India in any branch within India) should be sent to the office of:

Application Fee

Candidates need to pay the application fee of INR 1000 in form of challan of Central Bank of India in any branch within India. No other mode of payment will be accepted by the university. Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.


Lalit Narayan Mithila University Distance Education B.Ed Selection Process

Selection of candidates will be based on their performance in Common Entrance Test (CET). It consists of 120 objective type questions carrying one mark each. Complete duration of test is 2 hours. Standard of questions will be based in the curriculum of classes prescribed by the NCERT/CBSE. The exam is divided into 5 sections such as:

Documents required at time of Admission

Documents are only to be submitted after receiving letter of offer for admission to B.Ed after the entrance test. The documents are as follows:

  • Secondary/Sr. Secondary/Higher Secondary School Certificate indicating the date of birth, along with Mark sheet
  • Degree and Mark sheet of Graduate/Post-graduation
  • Category certificate, if applicable
  • Experience certificate and letter of appointment of a recognized school
  • Certificate to prove facilities for conducting B.Ed. practical's from Secondary/Higher/Sr. Secondary School in the format given in the prospectus
  • No objection certificate from the Head Master
  • Letter of Recognition from the concerned Board
  • Salary Statement (Bank statement)


Lalit Narayan Mithila University Distance Education B.Ed Admission Reservation

The total seat intake is of 500. The university follows the reservation policy which is as follows:

  • General category (250 seats)
  • Schedule Tribe (5 seats)
  • Schedule Caste (80 seats)
  • Backward Classes (60 seats)
  • Extremely Backward Classes (90 seats)
  • Women of Backward Classes (15 seats)
