Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (LUVAS), is one of the premier University which is located in Hisar, Haryana. It was established in year 2010. The University offers various UG, PG and Ph.D. courses in B.V.Sc & A.H, B.Tech, M.V.Sc. and Ph.D. respectively to constituent and affiliated colleges.
Admission to PG Courses in LUVAS is done on the basis of entrance examination conducted by the university.
For M.V.Sc, candidate with 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA out of 10 in B.V.Sc. in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry is eligible to apply.
For Ph.D. program, candidate with 70% marks or 7.0 CGPA out of 10 in M.V.Sc. in relevant discipline is eligible to apply.
The candidate must be registered with State Veterinary Council.
Candidates who do not fulfil the eligibility criteria will not be eligible for entrance test.
The University provides 5% relaxation to reserved category students.
SC candidates need to get pass in 10+2 with 57% aggregate marks or 5.7 CGPA in all the four subjects mentioned.
For M.V.Sc, candidate must have completed internship of Bachelor’s program and notification issued up to the date of counselling.
For Ph.D, candidate must have passed B.V.Sc. and viva-voce examination with Master’s program.
The university accepts offline mode.
The entrance examination conducted by the university shall be conducted in the month of May, 2018.
No such relaxation will be provided to Management quota seats.
The upper age limit is 25 years.
The upper age limit shall be relaxed to 5 years of age for SC / BC candidates.
The University also gives admission to ICAR Nominees, NRI and Foreign Nationals for which there will be no entrance examination.
Final admission will be decided on the basis of documents received by Competent Authority.

How To Apply
Ph.D in Veterinary Science
Candidate can apply for admission through Offline mode only.

Candidate must bring two sets of self-attested photocopies of documents and two unattested passport size photograph at the time of counselling.
Application fees will be accepted in the form of Demand Draft in favour of Comptroller, LUVAS, Hisar.

MVSc & Ph.D in Veterinary Science
Candidate are selected on the basis of merit in the entrance examination conducted by the university and weightage. Admission of NRI and Foreign Nationals will be given on the basis of documents received through the competent authority. Last date to apply for admission is Last week of May, 2018. Admit card shall be available at the college during the period of availability of admission form.

The University provides stipends to the candidate possessing Haryana Resident Certificate only on the basis of merit list prepared in accordance to University rules and regulation.
Stipend will not be awarded to Haryana Resident Candidate of either sex under ICAR/NRI seat.
For Master’s program, student possessing CGPA of 7.0/10 at the time of admission for 1st semester and after admission maintains CGPA of 7.5/10 will be awarded merit stipend of INR 6000 per month.
For Ph.D. program, student with 7.5/10 CGPA and maintains the same will be awarded merit stipend of INR 10000 per month.
The candidate shall only receive merit stipend if they not receive any other monetary award/aid except Sports Award.
Student admitted to affiliated college of University and not received merit stipend directly from university shall be awarded INR 3000 and INR 5000 per month.
Financial assistance is also given to needy students in form of books, payment of fees, etc.
