Annamalai University is one of the first institutions in the country to offer courses of higher education in science, engineering, humanities, agriculture, and arts.
The university offers the following UG courses in the field of agriculture:
Only candidates who have completed 10+2 qualifying examination from a recognized university are eligible for admission to these programmes. Admissions to the B.Sc. Agricutlture and B.Sc. Horticulture programme is done on the basis of the marks scored by the candidate in their respective qualifying examination (Higher secondary examination).
Candidates who satisfy the eligibility can register themselves by filling-in the concerned application form available at the university website. Completed applications should be submitted to the university office, along with the processing fee of INR. 800/- (INR. 400/- for SC/ST/SCA candidates).

Candidate should have passed 10+2 with a central/state board of examination which is recognized by the discipline of the study of Annamalai University with a bare minimum of aggregate which is as follows:
Higher secondary education should include the following subjects for approval:
Electives – Computer Science/Microbiology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Nursing/Nutritional Dietetics (if first subject chosen is Mathematics).
Note: If the candidate has not chosen the first three subjects or fails to qualify through these three subjects, the aggregate marks of the electives will be taken into consideration.
Candidates can register themselves for the above-mentioned courses through the online application process.
Photocopies of the following documents should be sent along with the application form and originals should be presented at the time of admission:
Application fees for B.Sc.(Hons.) in Agriculture- Self Supporting: INR. 1500/- for all.
Selection of the candidate to the B.Sc (Agri.) and B.Sc (Horti.) will be done on the basis of the marks scored in the respective qualifying examination (Higher secondary examination).
A merit list will be prepared based on the total marks of 200.
In cases where more than one candidate has scored he same marks in the common merit list, the inter-se merit among such candidates shall be determined in the order of priority as specified below.
Counselling will be conducted at the Administrative Office, the candidates will be notified about the same through the through the official website.
Counselling Fee: Candidates have to pay a Counselling fee of INR 2000/- (INR 500/- for SC/SCA/ST Candidates) by cash or DD in favour of “The Registrar, Annamalai University” payable at Chennai at the time of counselling.
The counselling fee is not refundable.
Seats will be reserved for candidates belonging to ST/SC/SCA/MBC/DNC//BC/ BCM/OC communities as per rules and regulations of the Government of Tamil Nadu
