Kerala University Distance UG and PG Admission 2020: Application Process, Entrance Exam, Result

University of Kerala, School of Distance Education offers under-graduate (UG), post-graduate (PG) and PG Diploma Courses in Arts, Commerce, Management, and Health streams . The University offers a total of 25 courses further subdivided into multiple specializations. Admission to all the courses offered by School of Distance Education (except M.B.A.) is done directly on the basis of the candidate’s qualifying examination merit.

Eligible candidates can apply for distance education programmes of the University of Kerala only through online registration process. Students must also remit the processing fee of Rs. 250/- in order to avail admission to the concerned programme through distance learning mode. Check University of Kerala Admission

Eligibility Criteria

Passed the Pre-degree examination of the University of Kerala/Higher Secondary/VHSE/AISSCE/ ISE examination with any subject or any examination recognized as equivalent thereto.

Admission Process

Admission to the MBA programme is done on the basis of an Entrance Test to be conducted by University Of Kerala.

How to Apply?

Candidates seeking admission should apply through the online registration facility available at the official distance learning website of the university. Candidates must remit the cost of Application form and Prospectus (Rs. 250/-) in order to complete the online application process.

  • Fees shall be remitted through Demand Draft (DD), drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram and payable at Thiruvananthapuram.
  • Fee should be remitted by pay-in-slip at the Cash Counters at the University Office, Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram and at the University Campus, Kariavattom.

Candidate should follow the given steps in order to complete the online application process:

  1. Remit the Application fee.
  2. Log on to “”
  3. Click the button ‘Apply On-line’
  4. Select the course of study
  5. Fill-in the On-line application form
  6. Submit the Application
  7. Take a printout of the Acknowledgment
  8. Send the Acknowledgement with fee and document (TC and Qualifying Certificates in ORIGINAL, Photocopy of SSLC etc.)

Duly filled-in applications should be sent through registered post in a cover super-scribed with ‘APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION TO...........…’ to the following address:

Applicants belonging to SC/ST Category will be admitted in the SDE without remitting the tuition fee at the time of admission. However, those candidates must remit all other special fees such as Admission Fee, Affiliation Fee etc.

Hi Lal, candidates must have Mathematics as a main subject in their graduation to be eligible for this course. Thus, you are not eligible for this course.

Hi Sandra, The Basic Eligibility is Candidate should possess Bachelor’s degree of Kerala University with English Literature as a Core Subject in a combination of subjects or Bachelor’s degree in the Faculties of Arts, Science, Social Science, Oriental Studies and Fine Arts.
