Founded in 1929, Annamalai University is the first private university and one of Asia's largest public residential universities located in India. Candidate must have acquired the B.P.T. degree of Annamalai University (or) a degree of any other University recognised as equivalent thereto by this University.
Duration of the Programme: 2 years
The university offers M.Sc. Nursing in the following disciplines:
Medical Surgical Nursing
Obstetrics & Gynaecological Nursing
Community Health Nursing
Candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife of Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council with minimum one year of work experience in a Hospital or in a college or in a school of Nursing or in Community Health Programme
The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks from an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council . (For SC/ST candidates minimum of 50% aggregate marks.)
Those seeking M.Sc. Nursing admission for specialization in Obstetrical & Gynaecological Nursing and Community Health Nursing shall be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife, where as for other specialities the candidate shall be a registered Nurse.
Duration of the Programme: 6 academic years after Higher Secondary
Candidate must have passed 10+2 examinations with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects (Mathematics or Biology or Botany and Zoology)
Candidate must have passed Diploma in Pharmacy Course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.
Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations.
Pharm.D (Post Baccalaureate)
Duration of the Programme: 3 academic years
A pass in B. Pharm. from an institution approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) [Candidate will enter into IV Year of Six Year Programme].
Candidates can register themselves for the above mentioned courses through the online application process.
Candidate should log on to the official university website and fill the concerned application form to register for the MPT/M.Sc. (Nursing)/Pharm.D. programmes.
Upon filling-in all the relevant details, candidate will be allotted an online application number for future correspondence.
Candidate should also submit a registration fee of Rs. 1000/- (For MPT/M.Sc. Nursing programme) and Rs. 600/- (For Pharm.D. courses) through demand draft (DD). DD should be drawn in favour of The Registrar, Annamalai University and payable at Chennai.
