Amrita University invites candidates to join their Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) course provided in their Amritapuri and Coimbatorecampuses. The University was founded in 1994 (recognized as a University in 2003), and now has spread into a multi-disciplinary, multi-campus university with over 150 programmes to offer. Amrita University is placed in category 1 of deemed universities by MHRD, GOI. The MSW course, provided by the Department of Social Work, is a two-year full-time program consisting both of classroom sessions and field practice. The students provide counseling services for local people with psycho/social/emotional problems, and have developed several grant proposals. Seminars and workshops are conducted on topics like Drugs and Alcohol Abuse, Suicide Prevention and Crisis Management, etc.
The curriculum is credit-based which makes the course design and teaching very flexible. The department collaborates with over 60 social services organizations for internships, projects, and other experimental projects.

Fee: The total college fee for MSW is around Rs.35, 000/-. The total Hostel Fee is around Rs.60, 000/-
The candidate should have a Graduate degree from any recognized University. An experience in volunteering in social work is preferred.
