Alagappa University offers a total of 56 UG and PG courses in distance mode through its Directorate of Distance Education. The distance courses are offered in a variety of disciplines such as Management, Computer Applications, Science, Education, and Languages. The distance programs are also offered to students residing in South-East Asian countries such as Sri Lanka, Singapore and Malaysia; Middle-East countries such as Bahrain, Qatar, Dubai.
The essential eligibility for applying to distance UG courses is that the candidate must have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized board in a relevant stream. Similarly, for admission to distance PG courses, a candidate must have an undergraduate degree from a recognized university in a relevant stream.
The University takes admission to its distance courses in two sessions, i.e. Calendar year admission and Academic year admission. The admission process is offline and application form can be obtained from the University directly or can be downloaded from the official website.
The application process for admission to distance courses at Alagappa University is entirely offline. There are three methods through which an interested candidates can procure the application form for the distance programs:

The candidates are advised not to pay any fees in the form of Cash to the Study Centre under any circumstances.

Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in any discipline in 10+2+3 pattern from a recognized university.
Integrated MBA (5 years integrated):
Candidates must have passed High Secondary (10+2) or a 3 year Diploma in any discipline.
There is no separate selection process for admission to programs offered by DDE, Alagappa University. Students who take admission directly through university have to contact the university at Karaikudi for classes and examination while students who take admission through study centres must attend classes arranged at their respective study centers.
