Bangalore University B.Ed. Admission 2019: Course, Dates, Eligibility Criteria, Admission Process

Bangalore University is a state university located in Bangalore. It is accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ Grade. The University has six faculties namely Arts, Science, Commerce & Management, Education, Law and Engineering. It has 43 Post Graduate Departments, One post graduate Centre at Kolar, (Started during 1994-95), three constituent colleges, 665 affiliated colleges (of which 115 have PG Courses) and several other Centres and Directorates of higher learning and research programme.

At present, Bangalore University offers 50 Post Graduate Courses and Employment Oriented Diploma and Certificate Courses. B.Ed. is a two year programme specially designed for those who want to pursue their carrier in education or teaching. B.Ed. Programme is offered in three discipline i.e. B.Ed., B.Ed. English and B.Ed. Special Education. There are 77 affiliated college under Bangalore University from where you can chose to pursue your B.Ed. Programme.

Eligibility Criteria

B.Ed

 1. You need to be a citizen of India Who has passed any Bachelor’s degree examination of Bangalore University or any University in India or abroad recognized as equivalent through 10+2+3/4/5 pattern of education who has obtained 50% of marks in aggregate of all the subjects you have studied for degree is eligible for admission to B.Ed. program.

2 If you have less than 50% aggregate in your graduation, but have a Master’s Degree with 50% then you are also eligible for B.Ed. program.

3 In the case of SC/ST, Category -1 and physically challenged students 45% marks in aggregate of all the subjects he/she has studied for degree course or 45% in post-graduation.

4 You must fulfil the eligibility criteria as per the directives of Govt. of Karnataka from time to time.


How to Apply

Candidates may apply for admission in B.Ed through online mode only. The application process comprises of the following steps:-

  1. Complete the application form: After successful registration on the official website, complete the application form carefully without leaving any mandatory field.
  2. Additional fee payment by repeaters: In case if any repeater is filling the application form, he/she will be charged an extra amount in addition to the application fee.
  3. Submitting application form: Once the form is completely filled, click on “Submit” after previewing the filled details to confirm the registration.
  4. IA Marks Entry: After submission of the application form, enter the internal assessment (IA) marks.

 


Admission Process

The application process for getting admission in B.Ed program is totally based on the merit as set by the organization. The process may be understood from here:

  1. Fill the application form carefully within the deadlines.
  2. Pay the application fee whatever is applicable.
  3. Check the merit list.
  4. Selected candidates will be called for counseling.
  5. At counseling session, college will be allotted to the students and they would be notified regarding the commencement of classes etc.
