Bangalore University offers 50 Post Graduate Courses and Employment Oriented Diploma and Certificate Courses. B.Ed. is a two-year program specially designed for those who want to pursue their carrier in education or teaching. B.Ed. Program is offered in three discipline i.e. B.Ed., B.Ed. English and B.Ed. Special Education.

There are 77 affiliated colleges under Bangalore University from where one can choose to pursue B.Ed. Program.

Admission is granted on the basis of the merit followed by a round of counseling. The candidates must register online via the Karnataka Government website. The entire application process is conducted online.

How to Apply

Candidates may apply for admission in B.Ed through online mode only.

The application process comprises the following steps:-

  • To begin, one must register and create his/her login credentials.
  • After successful registration on the official website, Login and proceed to complete the application form.
  • Mention the Personal details.
  • Followed by the information regarding the reservation.
  • Carefully enter the academic qualifications.
  • Select the preference.
  • Upload the photograph and signature.
  • Pay the application fee.
  • Click on “Submit” after previewing the filled details.

Eligibility Criteria

  • One must be a citizen of India.
  • Cleared the Bachelor’s degree examination from Bangalore University or any University in India.
  • Must have obtained 50% of marks in aggregate of all the subjects.
  • If one has secured less than 50% aggregate marks in graduation but has a Master’s Degree with 50% then too one is eligible for B.Ed. program.
  • In the case of SC/ST, Category -1 and physically challenged students, a minimum of 45% marks is necessary for all the subjects.

Admission Process

Selection will be done as per the merit secured in the qualifying examinations and the availability of seats.

The candidates must keep an update on the website to learn about the declaration of results.

The candidates will be called for counseling based on the order of their rank in the merit list prepared by the university. The counseling procedure can also be conducted online.

Hi Pranamita, admission to B.Ed is done on the basis of marks scored in graduation. No entrance exam is conducted for it. Application forms are expected to release from July 25, 2020.

Hi Anush, as there is no upper age limit to apply, thus, you can apply for admission in this course provided you have scored at least 50% (45% in case of reserved categories) in your graduation degree.
