Kerela Agricultural University (KAU) offers two integrated courses of B.Sc.-M.Sc. in Biotechnology and Climate Change Adaptation. One can take admission into the program through entrance exam conducted by KAU. This course is carried out for the duration of 5 years. The online registrations for Integrated M.Sc. programme will begin on the May 10, 2018 (tentative) and the registrations will end on June 10, 2018 (tentative).
B.Sc.- M.Sc. (Integrated) Biotechnology is offered by the College of Agriculture, Vellayani and B.Sc.- M.Sc. (Integrated) Climate Change is offered by ACCER, Main Campus in Vellanikkara.
Admission to these 5 year integrated courses happen through the entrance exam conducted by university and requires the candidates to have passed their 10+2 with a minimum of 60% in the Science stream. The written test will happen on July 10, 2018 (tentative).
The KAU offers this 5 year programme in two subjects:
The Biotechnology course is offered at the College of Vellayani, Thiruvananthapuram while the M.Sc. Climate Change Adaptation course is offered at ACCER, Main Campus, Thrissur.

You should have qualified your high school and intermediate examinations, i.e., 10+2 with a minimum percentage of 60 (for the general category) with the subject background in Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology). The students should have received their education either under C.B.S.E or an equivalent board. There is a relaxation of 10% for students of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes, i.e. 50 %.
The admission to this programme completely depends on the student’s performance in the entrance examination.
It is necessary to note that students with a background in PCM, i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Biology can only apply for the Climate Change programme.
The candidates applying for this programme should ensure the completion of their qualifying examinations before the last date of the submission of the online application to the course.
Age Limit: You should have completed 17 years of age as on July 10, 2018 (tentative) which is the last date for the submission of the online application.
You can begin applying for this course from May 10, 2018 (tentative) but ensure that complete your application process by June 10, 2018 (tentative).
For General candidates: INR 1000/-
For SC/ST candidates: INR 500/-
Step by step application process:
Step 1: Login to official website of KAU in order to fill out the application.
Step 2: Register on the website. It is mandatory to have an email id and mobile number to register online
Step 3: Log in with your username and password.
Step 4: Fill in the application form. Fill in the details carefully regarding the course details, name, address, age, center, course name, etc.
Step 5: Ensure that all the data that has been registered is authentic and is correct. Proceed to make the final submission of the form.
Step 6: Make the payment.
Step 7: Print out the application form and self-attested copies of certificates that act as proof of age, educational qualifications and experience, community and income certificates in case of candidates who are claiming reservation to the course. Remember to attach the Pay-in-Slip/ original Demand Draft with the print out of the application. This should reach the following address on or before June 15, 2018:

You will be required to produce all the original documents during the time of admission, failing which can result in the forfeiture of admission in the university.
In Case of Foreign Students:
The Foreign students should apply through their respective embassy/mission. The Ministry of Education would henceforth arrange for the admission through ICAR. It is mandatory for the student’s VISA to be approved by the Government of India for a student VISA and not a tourist VISA. The eligibility certificate issued by the University will be sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs to convert the tourist visa into a student’s visa.
In Case of Out of State Students:
If you seek to apply from another state than Kerala, you should apply to ICAR, Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi through your respective state government. In Union Territories of Andaman/Nicobar and Lakshadweep Islands, seats are reserved for ethnic natives of those states. No restrictions will be imposed on the students apart from the ones prescribed with regards to the qualifying examination and percentage and other general requirements.
Admission to B.Sc.-M.Sc. Integrated course depends on the entrance examination conducted by KAU. The questions asked in this entrance exam will be objective type and will refer to your 10+2 syllabus. The allotment to this course will depend upon the rank that will be published by the University on July 18, 2018 (tentative).
There are 20 seats offered in both Biotechnology and ACCER and are divided as follows:

If any seat of the reserved quota is not occupied then the seat will be automatically added in the State Merit. The seat that is un-availed by the SC candidates will go to ST category and vice-versa.
The communal reservations will be allowed only to the candidates applying as natives of Kerela.
