Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology & Research Academy, known as SASTRA University, is a deemed university which offers undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses in various streams such as Engineering, Science, Education, Management and Arts.
SASTRA University has several schools which offer admission to Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.)/ 5-year integrated M.Tech. programme in over 14 disciplines. Students are admitted to B.Tech. programmes/ 5-year integrated M.Tech. programme through the following two ways:
Eligible candidates can fill the prescribed application form of the university, make the required payment and appear for the Joint Entrance Examination Mains (JEE Mains) to be conducted in the first week of April. Application form for students who wish to apply through direct entry criterion as well as entrance examination criterion will be the same.

B.Tech./ Integrated M.Tech. programme is offered by Sastra University in the following disciplines:

To make a level field by offering admissions to students of different states and districts, following is the reservation pattern followed by the university:
Of the total available seats in the B.Tech. programme, 70% will be filled by the students who appear for JEE (Mains). Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of entrance examination marks and the performance of the candidate in 10+2 qualifying examination as per the following weightage:

Admission to remaining 30% seats will be done through direct entry scheme on the basis of 10+2 normalized marks. A list will be generated by the university by normalizing the +2 marks of the candidates and will be invited for counselling session.
Note: A student if admitted through first criterion of selection by entrance can also sit for counselling session of the students who got selected through direct entry scheme if he/she wishes to change the branch of study
