Sastra University UG and PG Admissions 2020: Application Form, Placement, Fees

Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology & Research Academy, known as SASTRA University, is a deemed university which offers undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses in various streams such as Engineering, Science, Education, Management and Arts.

SASTRA University  provides several different courses, apart from the B.Tech. and M.Tech. programmes, at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Some of the programmes included in this category are B.C.A., B.Com., B.B.A., B.Sc., M.C.A., M.Com., and M.Sc.

Candidates will be admitted to these programmes will be done on the basis of their performance in the respective qualifying examination. If shortlisted, candidates will be intimated for counselling by the university.

How To Apply

  • Eligible candidates can register themselves by filling the application form available on the university website. Candidate should fill-in the application with all the relevant details and also submit the processing fee along with it.
  • Candidates should deposit the registration fee of INR 650 for each course through online mode of payment via debit/credit cards. The fee can also be submitted through Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of SASTRA University and payable at Thanjavur, along with the print out of the duly-filled application.

Eligibility Criteria

For admission to the above mentioned UG programmes, one should satisfy the following minimum criteria:

  • Candidate should have passed 10+2 with a central/state board of examination which is recognized by the discipline of study of SASTRA University with a bare minimum of 50%
  • Candidate should have studied the discipline subject at higher secondary level as a main subject and secured a minimum of 50% aggregate


Admission Process

Candidates will be selected tothe above mentioned programmes on the basis of their performance in the qualifying examination as specified in the eligibility criteria. University will select the candidates on the basis of their score as per the university norms and requirement.

Course Structure



At the time of the counselling and final admission, students should bring the following documents with them:

  • Marksheets and Certificates of 10 and 10+2
  • Provisional Certificate
  • Migration Certificate (if applicable)
  • Marksheet and Provisional Certificate of Bachelor degree (if applicable)
  • Work-ex proof (if any)

Hostel Facility:

In total, 14 hostels are provided by the university for boys and girls, and messes are run on a dividing system

Hi Sandhya, as admission to all the law courses will be based on CLAT score, you need to apply for that exam separately and have to fill the application form on the official website of the university.
