Azim Premji University LLM and M.A Admissions 2019: Application Form, Result, Fees

Azim Premji University was established as a not-for-profit, private autonomous university in the state of Karnataka. The Azim Premji Foundation is the sponsor of the university. Azim Premji University aims at facilitating systemic change in education and allied development areas by conducting extensive research, developing new talent, and creating domain knowledge. It offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Students will also have the opportunity to take up research and projects to obtain an honours degree. The university has had very healthy placements. 60% of their graduates are working in the social sector at the grassroots level.

The MA course is a full time 2 years (4 semesters) programme. The selection is based on a Written Test and Interview. Admission Tests are conducted in 30 cities and interviews at 15 locations across India, providing easy access. The LLM programme is a one year course. Check Azim Premji University Admission 2019

Eligibility Criteria


LLM (Law and Development) Programme


You should have a Bachelor of Laws degree (LL.B. 3years / 5 years) from a recognised University in India or abroad.

The University actively encourages those with work experience to apply.

You should have a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline (including Physical Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities, Engineering, Medicine, Agriculture, Environmental Sciences, Commerce, Management, etc.) from a recognized University.

Application Process


You can obtain the Application Form from the website under the “Admissions” tab. You can submit the Application though both the online mode and the offline mode.

Online Mode:

You have to login through the link on the website and register online with e-mail ID, mobile number and date of birth. On successful registration, an email will be sent to your registered e-mail ID with login credentials to access the form and complete it online.

Offline Mode:

You can download the application form and fee payment Challan from the University website. The details on the form can be hand written and sent to Admissions Cell along with the fee paid Challan and photographs.

Application Fee: Rs. 250/- to be remitted in favour of Azim Premji University Fees a/c. For online mode, you can make payment via SBI Collect. For offline mode, you need to make payment by downloading the Challan from University website. Account details are updated on the application form and the Challan.

Selection Process

BA & B.Sc

The selection process for the Postgraduate Programme includes an entrance test and a personal interview.

NATIONAL ENTRANCE TEST: You will have to appear for a written test that will assess the Reading Comprehension, Reasoning and General and Social Awareness. National Entrance Test.

PERSONAL INTERVIEW: If you are shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the entrance test, you will be called for a personal interview. Work experience will have an additional weight in the interview process


The reservation policy of the University is as per the norms prescribed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
