SASTRA University M.Tech Admissions 2020: Application Form, Placement, Fees

Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology & Research Academy, known as SASTRA University, is a deemed university which offers undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses in various streams such as Engineering, Science, Education, Management and Arts.

SASTRA University has several schools which offer admission to Master of Technology (M.Tech.) programme in over 20 disciplines at the postgraduate level. Candidates will be intimated for counselling for admission to the programme on the basis of the marks secured by the candidate in the entrance exam.

Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criterion can register themselves by filling the prescribed application form of the university, depositing the required fee and appearing for the entrance exam. How To Apply

  • Candidates should fill the application form available online with all the relevant details. In order to complete registration process, candidate must also submit the required processing fee of INR 650 through online payment modes
  • Students can also apply offline by downloading the application forms and submitting them upon completion, along with the fee. Fee should be submitted through Demand Draft (DD) drawn in the favour of “Sastra University” and payable at Thanjavur

At the time of counselling session, students should bring the following documents with them:

  1. Photocopies of Marksheet of bachelor degree
  2. Passing Certificate and Marksheets of Class 10 and 10+2
  3. GATE Score card

At the time of admission, students should bring along original and one set of attested photocopies of the following documents:

  1. Graduation Marksheet
  2. Marksheet and Certificates of 10 and 10+2
  3. CLAT Score Card

Eligibility Criteria

For admission to the M.Tech. programmes, one should qualify the following criteria:

  • Candidate must possess a graduation degree, B.E/B.Tech or any other equivalent degree as accepted by the University
  • Candidate should have appeared for the GATE entrance exam


Admission Process.

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their scores obtained in the entrance exam (GATE). The University will make a list of all the selected candidates selected and the same will be intimated for the counselling session.


A total of 14 hostels are provided by the university for boys and girls, and messes are run on a dividing system.

Sir/madam Is admission for M.E construction engineering and management course is open for 2019 batch and when is the last date to apply

Hi Suvesha, the university offers M.Tech in the same discipline instead of ME. June 14, 2019 (tentatively) was the last date to apply for admission in this course.
