NITTE University MBBS & BDS Admission 2020: Eligibility, Entrance Exam, Fees

NITTE University based in Mangalore, Karnataka is opening up admissions in its UG courses MBBS/BDS which is offered under its faculty of medicine in its two different affiliated colleges that are KS Hegde Medical Academy (MBBS) and AB Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Surgery (BDS) respectively.

NITTE opts for both offline and online mode of application. Offline mode of application consists of collection of application form from the university campus and paying the application fees there only by cash or in the form of DD issued. 

For Online mode of application candidate have to visit the official website of the university and download the form from there.

Application fees charged by the university is INR 500/- for all category and INR 1000/- for NRIs/Foreign national candidates which can be paid in cash/online payment gateway/issuing DD in the name of university.

Admissions in the mentioned UG programs is on the basis of merit list which is prepared on the basis of marks scored by the candidate in NEET-UG 2019. 

Admissions for the UG program generally begins in the month of April-May each year and classes may commence from the month of August.

Application Process

Admission seekers in the university can directly approach to the campus of the University for Offline Mode of application and take and fill the form from there only by paying cash or drawing DD in the name of university.

Online admissions seekers follow the instructions-

  • Visit the website of the university
  • Go under admission tab
  • Choose your subject 
  • Download the form from the website 
  • Duly filled form along with necessary documents asked to attached also with DD drawn in the name of the university should be sent on or before the due date at the given address:-

Application for NRI students

NRI or foreign national candidates are admitted in the university on the basis of NEET scores also by considering their scores of qualifying exams. The application process is same as of Indian Nationals.

They have to make a separate application along with INR 1000/- DD issued in the name of university payable at university. 

The application can be downloaded from the website and should be sent along with the attested photocopies of the following documents: 

  • NEET Score Card
  • 12th marks card/pass certificate.
  • 10th marks card/pass certificate for proof of date of birth.
  • Proof of NRI status (Passport copy of parent, employment certificate, Sponsorship letter)
  • Valid passport and student visa for the period of study. (Original must be shown for verification).
  • Aadhar card copy of the student

Documents to be enclosed at the time of admissions

  • NEET Score card
  • 10th Std. Marks card/pass certificate for proof of date of birth – Original + 3 attested copies
  • 12th Std. equivalent Marks card/pass certificate – Original + 3 attested copies
  • Transfer Certificate from the institution last attended – Original + 3 attested copies
  • Conduct Certificate from the institution last attended – Original only
  • Eligibility Certificate issued by the Registrar, 
  • Migration Certificate from the Board/University of the institution last attended (For Non Karnataka students)
  • Physical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner
  • Blood group certificate
  • Photographs: Recent colour photo with white background, of resolution 300-600 dpi & size 35mm X 45 mm (Passport size) & 20mm X 25mm (Stamp size)
  • Aadhar card copy of the student

Additional (Original & 5 Photocopies) of documents produced by foreign nationals only 

  • Valid passport and student visa for the period of study. 
  • Letter of sponsorship (if applicable)
  • Residential Permit from the local SP and FRO
  • No Objection Certificate issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India

Note:-These will be processed once the student reports at the University/Institution. The payment of fee shall be from the Non Resident External (N.R.E) account of the parent.

Admission Process

For the program of MBBS university have an intake of 150 students and 100 students for BDS respectively. A merit list on the basis of their NEET scores and qualifying scores is prepared. Counselling is done by the official of the university at a given date.



  • NEET (National Examination cum Entrance Test) is a national level exam conducted by NTA (National Test Agency) is a objective type exam containing of total 180 question from subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. 4 marks will be given for each correct answer and 2 marks will be deducted for every negative answer. 
  • Candidate have to apply for NEET-UG 2019 separately on their website.
  • Candidates will be charged an application fees of INR 1400/- & INR 750/- for general and reserved category.
