Jain University, formerly known as Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College, is a deemed university under the UGC Act, established in Bangalore, and promoted by The JGI Group in India. Jain University has established 10 Centres of Excellence. The university offers over 185 programmes at the undergraduate, postgraduate and research levels spanning various elective courses and interdisciplinary certificate programmes. It is ranked No. 5 among the Top Private Universities in India in the India Today Survey.

The University invites applications for the admission to the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) course for the academic year 2019-20 for both regular course and lateral entry program. The admission to the program is through Jain Entrance Test (JET).

JET is a National Level Scholarship Entrance Exam which is conducted for the admission of the qualified candidates into UG engineering courses in JAIN UNIVERSITY. This year it will be held in online/offline mode on April 16, 2019(Tentative). The application forms for the exam are available on the official website of the university. Candidates may avail it by clicking on the link below. Candidates are required to submit it before April 15, 2019(Tentative).

Eligibility Criteria


The University offers B.Tech. Programme in the following disciplines:

  • Aerospace Engineering
  • Computer Science Engineering
  • Computer Science Engineering with Specialization in Cloud Technology and Mobile Applications
  • Computer Science Engineering with Specialization in Cloud Technology and Information Security
  • Computer Science Engineering with Specialization in Web Technology and Big Data
  • Information Science & Engineering with Specialization in Mobile Application and Information Security
  • Electronics & Communication Engineering
  • Electrical & Electronics Engineering
  • Computer Science Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Civil Engineering


  • Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject
  • Obtained at least 60% marks (60% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together

How to apply?


Candidates may choose to apply offline or online, here are the instruction to fill the application forms. You can use either one.

ONLINE MODE: You can obtain the Application Form online on the University website.

An application fee of Rs.500 may be paid in one of the following ways:

  • Online payment through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking
  • Credit/Debit Card: Payment of fees can be paid through Master/Visa Credit/Debit Card.
  • Net Banking: Payment of fees can be paid through Net Banking.


The application are made available on the Jain University’s Official Website. You are required to take a print out of the application forms and fill in all the details carefully.

  • Signature
  • 10th Marks card
  • 12th Marks card (for Pass out students)

JET Registration Fee – INR 500/-

Payment Modes:

Credit/Debit Card: Payment of fees can be paid through Master/Visa Credit/Debit Card.

Net Banking: Payment of fees can be paid through Net Banking.

Demand Draft

Has to be paid in Favor of “Jain University Engineering” payable at Bangalore. Candidate has to procure DD from the bank, enter DD details in the space provided online and to be sent along with printed application form to the following address:

Selection Process


Provisional admission is given based on the marks secured by the student in the JET 2019, subject to the student satisfying the eligibility criteria of admission. All applicants who are offered provisional admission will be required to produce the proof of having passed the qualifying examination.

Scholarship Test:

Jain Entrance Test (JET) is an aptitude test conducted for scholarship to the undergraduate engineering courses at Jain University.  It is conducted both online and offline. The test is of 3 hours duration with questions from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English Grammar with a total of 180 questions.
