IIPS Mumbai MA, M.Sc. and MPS Admission 2020: Dates, Application Process, Eligibility

International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai offers admission to MA, M.Sc and MPS programme. Each programme has 50 intake.

Admission to M.A, M.Sc will be based on Common Entrance Test (CET) and admission to M.P.S will be based on CET and personal interview conducted by IIPS.  Bachelor degree holder will be eligible for admission.

Application form can be filled online from the official website of IIPS (www.iipsindia.org). Application fee of INR 1000/- for general category, INR 500/- for OBC and INR 250/- for SC/ST category should be paid through Net Banking/Debit/Credit Card.

Degree (passed/appearing) from a recognized university in India or abroad with a minimum of 55% of aggregate marks/equivalent grade in the following subjects: Anthropology, Development Studies, Economics, Geography, Health Statistics, Mathematics, Political Science, Psychology, Rural Development, Social Work, Sociology and Statistics
Master of Science (M.Sc.)B.Sc. Degree (passed/appearing) in Bio‐statistics or Health Statistics or Mathematics or Statistics or having B.Sc. degree with two full papers on mathematics or statistics from a recognized university in India or abroad with a minimum of 55% of aggregate marks/equivalent grade in all subjects
Master of Population Studies (M.P.S.)M.A./M.Sc. Degree (passed/appearing) from a recognized university in India or abroad with a minimum of 55% of aggregate marks/equivalent grade in the following subjects: Anthropology, Bio‐ statistics, Development Studies, Economics, Geography, Health Statistics, Mathematics, Population Studies, Political Science, Population Education, Psychology, Rural Development, Social Work, Sociology and Statistics.

  2. Click “Apply”
  3. Enter all required personal information
  4. Type academic details
  5. Upload scanned photograph
  6. Pay application fee of INR 1000/-(general category), INR 500/- (OBC) and INR 250/- (SC/ST) through Net Banking/Credit/Debit Card
  7. Take a print out of filled application form
  8. Send the hard copy application form along with supporting documents to:

Admission Process

Master of Arts [MA] (Population Studies) , Master of Science [M.Sc] (Habitat and Population Studies) & Master of Population Studies [MPS]

Admission to M.A and M.Sc will be based on the written entrance test while admission to M.P.S will be based on the test and interview.

  • Merit list of selected candidates will be uploaded by Institution according to the online written test
  • Qualified candidates will be called for document verification and interview(for M.P.S)
  • Document verification and payment of programme fee will confirm admission
