Sastra University Distance B.Ed. Admissions 2020: Application Process, Dates, Eligibility

SASTRA University, School of Distance Education provides education in the field of Education, Fine Arts, Astrology. SCE, Sastra University offers the following programs:

Candidates with a relevant degree can register themselves online/offline and submit the required fee to complete the application process. If selected by the admissions team of the university, candidates will be intimated for the counselling session

How to Apply

  1. Candidates can fill the online application form with the relevant details in online mode.
  2. Submit the duly filled form along with photograph and signature within the size limits as permitted by the University.
  3. Candidates should also submit the registration fee of INR 650 in the case of B.Ed. and INR 360 to apply for BFA & MFA through online mode of payment via debit/credit cards
  4. The fee can also be submitted through demand draft (DD) to be sent in favour of SASTRA University and payable at Thanjavur, along with the print out of the form duly filled.

Note: Applications and prospectus can also be collected in person or by post from the Office of Admissions, SASTRA University upon payment through Demand Draft or cash.

Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor of EducationA Bachelor degree in any subject or two years of full-time teaching experience in a nursery/primary/secondary/higher secondary school in Tamil Nadu.
B.F.A. (Bharatanatyam)10+2 from any recognized board with fundamental knowledge of Bharatanatyam (OR) must possess a Diploma of Dance.
M.F.A. (Bharatanatyam)A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with a fundamental knowledge of Bharatanatyam.
Bachelor of Astrology Candidate must have passed 10+2 qualifying examination or should possess a Diploma in Astrology or equivalent studies.
Master of Astrology A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university

Admission Process

Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)

Admission for B.Ed will be merit based. However, there is different seat allotment for distinct subject degree holders.

Candidates will be shortlisted for admission through merit and selected candidates can join the institute directly.

Notes:

At the time of counselling, candidates should bring the following documents with them:

  1. Copies of certificates of 10,10+2, Graduation and Post-graduation (if applicable)
  2. Experience certificate endorsed by The Principal/Head Master/Head Mistress or any other competent authority.
  3. Proof of Date of Birth
  4. Copies of certificates in support of NCC/NSS activities.
  5. Passport Size photographs

At the time of admission, all the candidates must bring along these original documents with them:

  1. Marksheets and certificates of 10, 10+2, Diploma, Graduation, Post-graduation, M.Phil., Ph.D. (whichever applicable)
  2. Passport size photographs

Hostel Facility: In total, 14 hostels are provided by the university for boys and girls, and messes are run on a dividing system.

Hi Rajalakshmi, application process for this course is expected to commence in the end of March. Thus, fee payment link is not active right now. It will become functional only after the commencement of registration process.
