Chettinad University is a deemed university offering 2 UG and 5 PG courses in various disciplines. Chettinad University PG Entrance is an all-India paper-pen based post-graduate medical entrance test directed by Chettinad Academy of Research and Education, Chettinad Health City for admission to MD/MS courses in Chettinad University. Aspirants who have studied and completed MBBS degree from a recognized medical colleges and have obtained a permanent registration certificate either from Medical Council of India or any of the State Medical Council after completing 1 year internship are eligible to apply for Chettinad University PG Entrance. Selection of candidates for MD/MS admission in Chettinad Health City (Chettinad University) will be based on marks secured in Chettinad University PG Entrance 2020.

Admission to the MD/MS course are through the merit list prepared on the basis of entrance exam conducted by the university.

Admission to the M. Sc. course is directly through the submission of application.

Semi-online method:

STEP 1: Visit the official website.

STEP 2 Choose the course you are interested in and click on it.

STEP 3 A blue box in the middle of the page would read as ‘Click here to download applications’.

STEP 4 Take a printout of the same.

STEP 5 Send the completed application form along with a DD of Rs.2000/- and enclosed documents to the address given below.

Offline method:

STEP 1 Obtain the application form either in person or through post by submitting a DD of Rs.2000/-.

NOTE: Demand Draft should be drawn-in favour of “Chettinad Academy of Research and Education”, payable at Chennai.

Documents to be enclosed along with the application form:

  • Mark sheet of HSC Examination
  • M.B.B.S. Degree Certificate from the concerned University / Provisional Pass Certificate I and II
  • Mark sheets of the University Examination for the whole of the M.B.B.S. course
  • Attempt Certificate (First year to Final year) wherever applicable
  • Community Certificate...... for the purpose of statistics only
  • Internship Certificate (C.R.R.I.) completed on or before March 31/ Self-declaration for completion of C.R.R.I.
  • Permanent Registration Certificate issued by Medical Council of India or State Medical Council
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Migration Certificate wherever applicable
  • Conduct Certificate issued by the Head of the Institution last studied.
  • Two identical and recently taken passport size colour photographs are required. Candidate should affix the photograph in the space provided.

Eligibility criteria:

  • MBBS degree from a recognized medical college
  • You must be undergoing 12month compulsory Rotating Resident Internship after completing MBBS and are likely to complete the same on or before March 31, 2020 (tentative)

Selection Process

Selection on the basis of marks secured in the entrance examination.

Exam Pattern:

  • 180 multiple choice questions covering all the subjects of MBBS course.
  • 3hours duration.
