Periyar University invites applications from eligible candidates for admission to the MBA and MCA Program offered by the university. One must be a graduate with a minimum of 50% of marks to apply for the courses.
Admission to both the programs is through TANCET.
To apply for TANCET candidates must pay the registration fee INR. 500/- (INR. 250/- for reserved category candidates) through online transactions.
Candidates seeking admission in MCA at Periyar University must pay INR. 500/- as application fee. MBA aspirants must submit INR. 750/- as application fees.
The application forms can be either be obtained directly from the university or can also be downloaded from the official website of the university. The application fees must be paid via a Demand Draft drawn in the favor of The Registrar at Periyar University.
Admission will be solely based on the candidate's performance in the respective TANCET exam.
Candidates have to submit only one application for the Entrance Test for MBA & MCA Programmes.
The candidates have to pay a fee of INR. 500/- (INR. 250/- for SC/SCA/ST Candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu on the production of a copy of Permanent Community Certificate) as entrance test fee for any one of the Programmes, either MBA or MCA.
If a candidate desires to appear for more than one program, for every additional program, he/she has to pay INR.500/-(INR.250/- for SC/ST Candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu) along with the filled-in application

SC/ST candidates are exempted from the payment of the Application/Registration fee for anyone of the program.

Periyar University complies with the reservation criteria laid down by the Government of Tamil Nadu and MHRD, Government of India. So, here are a few points to remember by candidates looking to take up admission to PG Programs offered by Periyar University:
Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the Entrance Test conducted by the respective departments.
Candidates who possess a qualifying score in TANCET/MAT/CAT will be exempted from the Entrance Test. But they will have to appear for the Interview and Group Discussion.

The exam has a total of 100 questions, each question carries 1 mark. 1/3rd of a mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
The duration of the exam is 2 hours.
