Meenakshi University/Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research (MAHER) invites applications for the MBBS Programme for the academic year 2020-21. The admissions to various private and government medical colleges under the aegis of MAHER will be through the Entrance Exam conducted by MAHER, Chennai. The applications usually come out by April or May.

The institute is one of premiere institutes of medicine in the country. With the limited number of seats, the competition is very high. No other rank or marks except the ones acquired in the Entrance Exam will allow for admission.

How to apply?

You can obtain the Application form in 3 ways:

1. In person, by remitting Rs. 1000, on all working days.

2. By Post, You should send a requisition letter along with a DD for Rs. 1100 in favour of “The Registrar, MAHER” payable at Chennai.

3. Download the Application form from the website.

    How to Apply Online:

    Step 1: You should visit the official University website. Click on the “MAHER MBBS Application” link.

    Step 2: Download the Application form and fill in the necessary details.

    Step 3: Attach a DD for Rs. 1000 in favour of “The Registrar, MAHER” payable at Chennai

    Step 4: Send the Application form along with the DD at the following address:

    Eligibility Criteria

    • You should have completed the two years intermediate, HSC or equivalent course thereof, with science subjects i.e., English, Physics, Chemistry and biology from a recognized Indian University or Pre-University.
    • You should have secured not less than 60% of marks on the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and biology in the qualifying or competitive examination conducted on similar lines as the qualifying examination conducted by a competitive body.
    • Age: You should have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or complete this age on 31st December of the year of admission.
    • You should be medically fit.

    Reservation Criteria

    The reservation policy of the University will be as per the norms prescribed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

    Admission Process

    You are selected on the basis of rank obtained in an Entrance Exam conducted by the University which consists of one paper. The Paper consists of Multiple Choice Type questions (MCQs) with 4 options. It is a 2 hour paper with no negative marking, so you can attempt as many questions as you can. The Syllabus for the paper includes Physics, Chemistry and Biology of HSC level.
