IISc Bangalore Integrated Ph.D Admissions 2020: Courses, Entrance Exam, Cut Off

Indian Institute of Science offers Integrated Ph.D. Programmes for candidates holding bachelor’s degree and have the desire to study further. IISc offers candidates to pursue advanced research in the following specialisation

  1. Integrated Ph.D. in Biological Sciences
  2. Integrated Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences
  3. Integrated Ph.D. in Physical Sciences
  4. Integrated Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences

  • Candidates have two options to pay application fee of Rs.1035 by cash or DD in favour of “The IIS University, Jaipur”: -
  1. Online Payment – Payment made through Net-banking, Debit Card, Visa /Master Credit Card Payments.
  2. Offline Payment - SBI Bank branches accept Challan payment across the country

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates desirous of taking admission in Integrated Ph.D. programme must have a min a minimum of first class in B.Sc. or equivalent degree in Physical, Mathematical, and Chemical, Biological Sciences (including Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences) from a recognized institute or university.
  • The holders of B.E. or B. Tech. Degree qualifies in Mathematics/Mathematical Statistics paper in JAM are eligible to apply only to Mathematical Sciences discipline and those who appear in Biotechnology paper in JAM are eligible to apply to Biological Sciences discipline.

Selection Process

For the disciplines in Chemical, Physical and Mathematical Sciences short listing will be done based on a valid JAM score followed by an interview. For the discipline in Physical Sciences the short listing will be also done based on JEST score. Selection will be based on the combined performance in the Test and in the Interview.
