RTMNU B.E/B.Tech and B.Arch. Admission 2019: Time Table, Entrance Exam, Result

RTM Nagpur University (RTMNU) invites candidates to join their under-graduate programmes in B.E./B.Tech and B.Arch. courses. RTMNU was formally known as Nagpur University. It was established in 1923 and it is one of the oldest universities in India. It is accredited as 'A' grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and is ranked as one of the top universities of India. The University holds an entrance exam MHT-CET to admit students in their engineering courses. The test is of 300 marks with 3 papers. The admission is based on the marks in MHT-CET and the marks in the 10+2 or equivalent exam.
The admission for B.Arch. is based on the marks scored by the candidate in their qualifying 10+2/10+3 diploma or equivalent exam along with their marks in NATA/JEE Main.

Full Time: The candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam.
Part Time: The candidate must have a Diploma in Engineering in the branch for which he/she seeks admission.
Duration: 5 years
The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with a minimum of 50% (45% for reserved categories) marks. He/She should also have Mathematics as one of the compulsory subject. OR
The candidate should have passed a 10+3 Full Time Diploma or equivalent examination from a recognized institution. AND
The candidate should have scored at least 40% (80 out of 200) marks in NATA 2016 or 40% marks in second paper of JEE Main 2016.
Candidates can register for MHT-CET at www.mhtcet.co.in.
After registration, the candidate has to fill the application form online, and upload his/her photo and signatures.
After filling the form, the candidates have to take a print out of the bank challan and pay it in any SBI branch.
The challan is of Rs.860/- for general and Rs.660/- for reservation category candidates.
After payment of challan, candidates have to update their application form within 48 hours to complete the application process.
The application kit and brochure can be collected from any designated ARC by paying a registration fee of INR 700/- (INR.500/- for reserved categories) in cash.
The application kit will contain application ID, password, and important instructions to fill the online application form.
The candidates can submit the form online after logging in with their allotted application ID and password.
The candidates have to pay an additional fee of Rs.50/- if they are filling the form from an ARC facility.
After submitting the form online, the candidates have to confirm their online application forms and verify their documents to the ARC.

H.S.C. (Std. XII) mark sheet
School leaving certificate after passing H.S.C.
Certificate of the Indian Nationality of the candidate (not required for foreign category)
Domicile certificate (for State seats)

Defense Service Certificate (for ex-servicemen)
Certificate of posting in case of defense and Govt. Servants (for J&K students)
Certificate for stay in refugee camp for those staying in refugee camp (for J&K students)

The candidates are selected on the basis of their marks scored in MHT-CET and marks in their 10+2 or equivalent exam.
The University conducts Maharashtra Health and Technical Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) to admit students to their B.E./B.Tech. courses.
The test will be consists of three papers of 100 marks each. The first paper is of Physics and Chemistry, the second paper is of Botany and Zoology, and third paper is of Mathematics. Paper one and two have 100 MCQs of 1 mark each and third paper has 50 MCQs of 2 marks each. Each paper will be of 1½ hours. The syllabus will be same as the syllabus for HSC exam of HSC Board of Maharashtra for that year. The medium of examination can be English, Marathi, or Urdu.
The candidates will be selected on the basis of a merit score assigned to them. The merit score will be calculated out of 200 marks with 50-50 weightage to NATA/JEE Main score and HSC marks of the candidate.
NATA/JEE Main Score: The score of the candidate in NATA out of 200 will be converted into marks out of 100, or the score of candidate in the second paper of JEE Main will be counted.
HSC/10+3 Diploma/Equivalent exam Marks: The marks of the student in HSC/10+3 Diploma/ equivalent exam out of 100 will be counted.
The candidates will be selected via Common Allotment Process (CAP) which will have 3 rounds:
The First Round is a direct allotment round. All the students from all the categories will be allotted their preferred seats on the basis of their merit score. The students whose names are present in the list for CAP Round 1 will have to report to the institute where the seat is allotted are submit his/her documents and fees.
The Second Round is also a direct allotment round. The seats available for this round are those which were not filled after the first round.
The Third Round is a counselling round only for those Maharashtra State candidates whose name is present is the list for the third round. The seats are allotted on the basis of their merit. All seats vacant after the first two rounds are available, regardless of category. Candidates selected in this category will have to pay a non-refundable fee of INR 5,000/- for admission.
Note: For J&K candidates, the selection will be based on counselling and they do not have to fill form for CAP. Such candidates have to be present with their documents and fees at Sir J.J. college of Architecture, Mumbai as per their notified schedule.
